My daughter. She's 14 months old and has had fluid behind her ears for a good three months and an ear infection that has taken 4 rounds of antibiotics to get rid of (it's gone now, supposedly, but I'm sure it would come back in a week), so she's a candidate for tubes. They think afterwards she'll start walking on her own (she has the strength but wants someone/thing to hold onto for balance) and she'll start picking up more words (I think the only new word she's picked up since the fluid started really hanging around is "cheese" and she was getting a lot before that) because right now she can't hear properly. It's like being underwater.when u say babe do u mean ur husband or your baby?? Either way they will be just fine. I think we all know its a hard long road to become a surgeon so you know your putting them in good hands. In fact they will be better after the surgery than before!
edit: btw that picture is hilarious!

I know she's in excellent hands. The surgeon is an instructor at Temple and completed a fellowship in pediatric ENT and does research on middle ear infections so I know she'll be fine. The anesthesia is the only thing that makes me nervous, but it's just gas and she'll only be under for about 20 minutes.
No, just my sense of realityConsidering your list im assuming your stats are probably out of this world 😛
My son had this same surgery done with the ear tubes at like 2 years old. he had the same problem chronic ear infections as well as hearing problems. It all cleared up a few months after this. Its a really minimal surgery and its short. The tubes often fall out on their own anyways and you wont even know! I was worried too but its not a lot to worry about. apparently its a very simple procedure as far as ENT goes.My daughter. I know I don't have a chance at a half of them, for oos or some other reason, I have yet to really look at a lot of them and decide (waiting for mcat and stuff). My top two choices are University of Louisville and University of Central Florida
Are you from Florida?
your list looks good to me assuming your mcat is at least a balanced 30-32!🙂. Univ of tennesse/south carolina is slightly questionable but w/e no harm in trying. good luck! man its weird to think i did this crap last year.Haha yea
(I know louisville is tough on oos, I do have a lot of ties to the state. I was born in one of UofL's teaching hospitals, almost my entire family lives in Louisville, I have friends there, one of their trained residents saved my sister's life...whatever else I can throw in)

Hello Everyone. This application year will be one of the best years for many of us because it will be the year many of us learn if we are in or not. Gosh, I wish everyone the best of luck. It is luck that will get us in right? I do not know why we assume great GPA and MCAT scores will do it. No, it is luck that we are counting on. Pure luck. Just Kidding! Let's do this class of 2015!

That also reminds me, those of you going to med school this year or applying, would you want to live in an apartment, dorm, house, a box? Haha, I'm planning on renting a house.
