The only realization that occurred to me tonight is I need to get out of the south. I'm dying to get to a place where people are actually people again. It's too much to explain in a post. Ohhh well...
Float is in the house tonight!

Hey now.
Sorry guys, I"m not a person 🙁

Haha GoSpursGo you are the exception! I thought that was a known fact when I posted.
The fact of the matter is I just need a change of scenery. I've always felt/known that the northeast is where I belong. No offense is intended to any southerners.
What about the west coast msb? Midwest? The US is veryyyy large and offers many options.
What about it FloatOn? I've been to all parts of the US and I find that the northeast fits me best. I don't appreciate one part of the country (or the people there) over another, I just know where I would like to be.
Artimacia, headsup, you almost have 1000 posts.

Yay! (Almost two years later...)
Hmmm... on the one hand, living in the south is frustrating if you're liberal (at least it is where I am right now)... but on the other hand warmth and friendly people are nice.
I'd love to live in the NE but I hate the cold.
I figure I'll apply all over the place and let the med schools (and the money) decide.

From what I've experienced, people are more friendly in the South! I think it's because they're not always in a rush and so in your face like in the NE. Nonetheless, I would love to live in NYC or Boston.
NYC's a little much for me, but I'd love to live in Boston. I don't know what it is about NYC, but I always feel just a little bit claustrophobic when I'm there. Love to visit, hate to live there.
Philadelphia's also a viable option (reason #239847984 why class of 2015 is gonna part in philly together).
Philly's decent. I've lived here my whole life but I've never been much for going out. My favorite thing about it is how centrally located it is. NYC and Baltimore/DC aren't more than a few hours drive, the Jersey shore is 1 to 2 hours away, etc. Plus, we have lots of good stuff here. There are lots of good malls, we have all 4 sports teams, great museums, performing arts, and so on.I love good food, having endless options for entertainment, and diverse group of people. NYC just seems like the place to be.
Never been to Philly, so I can't comment on that.

I've heard terrible things about Jersey Shore, terrible, terrible things....

HAHAHAH! I won't even comment on that trainwreck. But I WILL say that most of that show is filmed in northern New Jersey. I've always gone to Atlantic City or points south (Ocean City, Cape May, Wildwood, etc.).
AC is great because the beach is free. My family goes down for the day, valet parks at one of the casinos right on the beach (it's like $5), no beach tags, and if you say you're staying at one of the hotels (my car is, anyway!) they'll give you a beach umbrella.
Ocean City is nice, we used to go down there a lot before my mom fell in love with Cape May. Cape May is beautiful, lots of Victorian buildings, a few big seafood restaurants and some whale watching boats, too. I really like it there.
Wildwood is fun because the beach is HUGE and they have a big boardwalk and some entertainment piers with rides (including roller coasters) and water parks.

I don't know how I'm going to survive with three labs next semester... they're easy labs, but I get so distracted when I do labs. (like right now)
Kinda humorous: I'll be in freshman bio lab next semester and I may end up needing to take a freshman or another english class.
I know what you mean. After I graduate in June I'm going to have to take a 2nd english class (long story). The way my university works with its writing sequence they won't let me in the class b/c it is for freshman only so I'm going to take it at a cc. Very lame.
Im going to try to lead that list!!!! 3.8 GPA and taking the MCAT in May!!!!
