I went to the dealer that I'm leasing from. They didn't give an excuse since I didn't notice til I was driving away, but I imagine it would be something about cooing over their teenage friend's ultrasound pictures :lame: They give repeat customers tickets for $10 off and although it was marked on my invoice, she didn't give me the discount.

I am not one to complain and I tip even sh*tty servers pretty well, but I lost it this time.

Haha, so they made a mistake? You could just go back for the missed discount..but you definitely should write an email so you can "milk them" for more 😛

I'm stuck inside my apartment because 1) it's raining outside, 2) I don't have rain-appropriate attire/gear, 3) I don't have my unlimited ride subway pass yet...(in the mail I hope!) and I'm too cheap to pay for a round trip fare 🙁
....I also don't know where I'd go alone lol.

Do rejections usually come first or interview invites after secondaries are completed?

Too variable. Some schools send rejections quickly, some keep you hanging until April.

The best thing you can do is keep an eye on the school specific threads. You'll see if people are getting rejections or interview invites. And if you are wondering for a specific school, go back and look at that thread from last year.
 
I'm starting to get panicky about not having an apartment yet. I'm worried that I'll have to leave my dog at my parents' house in order to get a safe/affordable place :cry:

Hmm, close to USC..I would imagine there are plenty of desirable places to live? South Pasadena? ...or you could commute from West LA? lol

Yeah, I'm looking at South Pas, Pasadena, Silverlake and Los Feliz. The med school is east of Downtown so the Westside is out of the question. My parents keep calling the properties in my price range "crack dens" or something along those lines, so they aren't too helpful.

I also still don't know where I'll be living and most of the places that don't look shady are rather expensive. Can totally relate here.

Haha, I'm sure you could commute from West LA, you'd just be spending your whole day in your car. Good way to prepare you for telemedicine...lol 😛

Anyway, hmmm....I'm sure you will find a place at some point, unless you're looking for an unrealistic price range, which I assume you're not because you're from LA. 🙂 May I suggest Padmapper? It's a good way to see apartment listings on a map!!

Just found out we have summer reading, but I've heard it's a good book, so it'll be ok.
