Class of 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If it helps, you'll probably only be using your apartment for cooking and showering since you'll be studying the rest of the time, so those are the two most crucial parts of the new place.

Is it bad if I first heard about this story from my gf? I interpreted it as an indirect threat.

EDIT: TOP WOO WOOOOO

I'm starting to get panicky about not having an apartment yet. I'm worried that I'll have to leave my dog at my parents' house in order to get a safe/affordable place
Yeah...I ended up paying 50% more than I wanted (500 bucks more per month) because of the dog thing.
I don't like how everyone's too cool to gchat now 🙁

ESPECIALLY YOU, COUGS
Whatever!!! I'm on there right now with Sun and Trio and WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU!?

I'm out looking at apartments... duh
I thought the c/o 2015 was too cool for such juvenile nonsense. :meanie:
No, we're not above nonsense like that/ any kind of nonsense at all

Whoops...

What's shakin', 2015? 2.5 days of work left! 😀

Nice! Today is my last day. 😀

Gahhh what the, who does something like that!

Why did it take 30 min at the DMV w/ only a marriage certificate that wasn't even in English to change to my married name, but 4 months, a court hearing, and $450 to go back to the name I had almost all my life. My parents got a divorce faster than that...

*grumbles angrily at government*

Because the DMV loves to ruin everyone's day.

S***'s getting reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal!!!!

I've been working on our bathroom and it looks really nice! We took down the old fixtures and I sanded/spackled/painted the spots. Hubs is putting the new ones up tonight. I already put down the new bath rug and I'll hang the new shower curtain after he's done putting the stuff up. It looks puuuurty and I feel accomplished! 🙂

One day we might replace the sink, medicine cabinet, over the toilet cabinet, and/or the light fixture (that's more of a definite), but they would be much bigger projects and they're okay as is right now. I just couldn't stand those old brassy fixtures.

Bonjour from Paris!

Hope everyone is doing well. Gonna check out some art and then scope out a place for the fireworks, maybe near the university cause the Eiffel tower area is gonna be too packed. This hostel is entirely nonsocial so just strolling the city myself, though I did meet this girl yesterday and we wandered around for like 4 or so hours lol.

I come home tomorrow.

Vive la France! I hope you enjoy Bastille Day there, shanks. 🙂

GC, I feel you on the brass fixtures - we had them in my house growing up. Ick.

I've been getting stuff ready for the move as well. I'm excited to say that I actually don't have complete **** for bedding, flatware, and dishes. 👍

Also, two words: queen bed. NIIIIIIIIIICE.

Isn't it nice to start feeling like a grown up? When we originally moved in together we got crap for cookware and kitchen supplies because we were getting married in less than a year and I got NICE stuff for our shower. And now that we have the house, I have places to put it all!

We have a queen, but I desperately want a California King. Hubster is tall so he tends to kick the sheets out from the bottom of the bed in the middle of the night, and he's a bigger dude so I'd just love more space in the bed. Unfortunately, we'll never get a Cali King mattress up our stairs. We already had to get a split queen box spring because the one we had (standard queen) wouldn't fit. Since our bedroom furniture is a bit of a hodge podge, too, I think we'll just yard sale it all when we do eventually buy our forever house, and get a whole new bedroom set with a bed frame and all that's' designed for the size we want.

Eee! Have fun tonight, and have a good flight back!

I have the most random mix of stuff... I have some old crystal and silver and stuff from my parents' wedding gifts (which they then figured out they'd never use), and then I have the dishware they probably bought at a discount store in the 70s when they were residents :lame:
LOL, true. That part is nice. Being responsible for all the bills and your own personal upkeep is totally NOT fun.

I'm a germophobe, so I'm oddly happy that I get to have my own place to keep as clean as I want it, even if that means cleaning all the things.

Ahh, a Paris romance!

I can't go back to anything smaller. ps not fat

So very, very, very... true. *siiiiigh*

Could you please clean all of the things of mine? 😳 (I read on SDN that if I don't pay people for a service and instead do it myself, I'm stealing.)

Yes, I'm pretty curious what one has to do to be called out for being fake... there's little rhyme or reason to the choices, it seems.

The chatter I saw elsewhere suggested that people were posting on the callout threads asking for their own, or something like that.

I feel like I missed out on some epic troll threads recently. Oh well.

Tonight is gonna be awesome! I'm racing in an "aquathon" at the harbor (1/2 mile swim + 5k run, not sure why they don't just make it a full triathlon but whatevs) in a couple hours, then eating some delicious pasta for din din, then going to see HP7.2 at midnight! So stoked!

Edit: I don't want to pack. I hate packing. And moving. Bleh.
