13 interview invite today! 6th of MD established schools.

I'm starting to realize that I could have applied to 16 schools, and gotten an acceptance... or even just Chicago-area schools... but who knows, if I had done that, I probably would have gotten in nowhere.

I just booked air/hotel/rental car for my first of three oos interviews coming up. I was supposed to hear back from one of my state school "for sure" more than a week ago... but they are seriously dragging their feet. I kept delaying booking my travel to see if I would hear back about an acceptance first. Well, I literally waited one day too long and my flight went up $150 overnight. So pissed at myself for waiting so long.

Unfortunately, all three of those schools haven't handed out any acceptances yet (not that I am expecting two of them to start for awhile). I suppose I need to pay ridiculous amounts of money for travel, miss classes, and attend interviews in a slightly wrinkled suit to really join the party like everyone else 😀.

As far as life goes I'm doing pretty good 🙂. I've been lurking, but since all I want to do is complain about this process I've resisted the urge to vent. Mostly, it is just one school... not doing what they said they would.

I don't know if I already told you, but I'm pulling for you at Jeff. I honestly think high priority sound like a good thing there. However, I completely understand why you would be stressed. I'm on a pre-interview hold at UCSD, so more than likely my son and I will be moving next year (or he will be following me out at least) 👎.

haha i've seen the anatomy lab at each school i've interviewed at and they all say the exact same thing "do you smell anything? hmm not really, right? we have the best air filtering system in the entire universe!"

Not too bad. I am trying to stay afloat in my genetics course - which i really enjoy, but having a hard time making my test scores reflect my knowledge of the subject matter.

I FINALLY graduate in December (after about 10 years!) and it is creeping up awfully fast!

And on a food note: I made tuna noodle casserole for the first time this weekend and it was super easy and super good!

Edit: I'm sorry Daisy. I agree with cougs - that school is poopy.

I need to study for my midterm tomorrow, but I have to leave for my son's private school's PTA meeting. I live an exciting life 😳. Last time they lectured us for two hours on appropriate music for children. All of the "wrong" types of music were on my ipod . I'm 28 and most of the other parents are 40ish, so it is usually kinda funny to see how out of touch some people are via their questions. Tonights meeting is on protecting our children in cyber space. These meetings are mandatory btw 😎.

Best part of last meeting: the old woman trying to explain what the "magic stick" was and why the song was inappropriate for kids.

It was only by the grace of God that I was able to resist saying the EXACT same thing to this jerkass doctor I know about 2 years ago. He's always been a jerkass, too. My mom remembers him from when he was a resident and she was a new nurse like 30 years ago when he gave my mom a ton of **** for something. He yelled at my momma, people. 😡
