Daisy it was so funny. I think I surprised the mortgage guy with how much I knew about the process. Apparently I learned more useful info from HGTV than I thought!

Congrats on the pre-approval GC, that's huge.

Our car is in the shop. Le boyfriend is doing his best to talk them into doing it for free since it's a known issue with Toyota transmissions - we *might* get away without having to shell out 3K between that and his superduper mega warranty thing.

How exciting! I would love to buy a house, but don't think that will happen anytime soon. You'll have to keep us updated on the broker deal. I was thinking about going that route, so might have to ask you all about it when it's done and over with. 😀

the fixing things is the bigger pain in my butt. but it's kind of fun if you have time
 
Hubster is pretty handy. He and FIL did a lot of work in his childhood home, and they owned the property where his grandmom lived (it was a duplex apartment and they also managed the second floor unit).

Edit: And he's actually the one more open to a home that needs more work. If he wants to do it, I will be happy to help, but it'll be mostly up to him.
 
Can I please just have one nice normal week? No vomiting dogs, no magically appearing impending deadlines at work, no one going into labor, no one dying, no vomiting humans, no migraines, no friends getting breast implants, no birthdays, no meetings, no on-call shifts, no accidents?

Please?
 
Ugh, such a crap day.

I just got my course audit back from the college board, and they rejected it with like a page full of "issues" that need to be addressed and are insufficient.

Funny thing is, it's pretty much exactly the same as the #2 prep school in the country, whose AP teacher I work very closely with on things, and who said most of the teachers share syllabi when they start, so just tweak it and turn it in. WTF?

I went and looked up one of the issues they had with the syllabus, and checked out their example syllabi, and it looks almost exactly like my section. How much more clearly can you get than "Students will spend a minium of 1 95 minute period per week in a hands-on laboratory environment?"

*sigh*

sorry, letting off steam. My classroom caught fire this morning due to an electrical issue and now this. I want to go back to sleep.

you can never go wrong with chinese. It's fattening and always makes you feel good (for at least a little while, until you realize how much you just ate)
