w00t. Also, just want to brag that I'm helping Maubs move in in a little over a week. We're going to start our midwest posse and party like it's 1999. Sounds like there's a pretty decent clade of sdn'ers either in or moving to the windy city, so anyone who wants to come enjoy summertime Chi has plenty of outposts.

Daisy, I've used barewalls.com and they've been pretty good, but I do recommend calling customer service once you know what prints you want and asking them when they would ship...some prints take longer than others and even if it says "usually ships within 48 hours" online, they'll be able to tell you over the phone if you should expect it to take longer than that.

I was going to post this on fb... but decided here might be better.

is it weird that I'm excited to start med school for its gym and be able to afford its cheap personal trainer costs.... What non-medicine related activity/thing makes you excited to start med school? (or were excited about - for those who have already started😛).

I have no SoCal SDN posse. It's just me, dbeast, and Pons (but Pons is burnt or DEAD.)

I went to see an apartment this afternoon that had a really good layout but 1. the manager is a creepy one-armed chain smoker and 2. the previous tenant died in the apartment. I wish I had enough money to pay for an apartment without any glaring flaws. 🙁

Did the manager say how the tenant died? What if they haunt your apartment?

He said that he was an old divorcee, so I was thinking he had an MI or something. I wonder how long it took for someone to find him... they did replace all the carpet in the place, so maybe he was seeping in to the floor at that point :scared:

Meh I want to live alone, plus I have a very unfriendly dog that I don't want to make a stranger deal with.

Yea I'm feeling the sense of abandonment too... 🙁 . Too many of us from SoCal leaving for other places. I'll let you all know if Pons is still alive, depending on whether or not he shows up for the first day of class, but my guess is that he's probably moved on to bigger and better things.

Yea right, like there's anything better than SDN.

I'm thinking of getting the Welch-Allyn Harvey Elite. I think there's some time set aside during orientation for us try out different stethoscopes before buying or something like that, so it's going to be a few weeks before I get one.

Nothing makes me excited for medical school except for the prospect of having more friends in the city than just my roommate.

As long as the two are not related in any way, you should be okay! That being said, what is your budget, if you don't mind me asking? I'm surprised there isn't more out there at the moment.
