Yeah, I've got an activity that's titled "academic achievements" or something that has Dean's List, PBK, and my school scholarship. Should I include my state scholarship (It's pretty selective, you must be top 3% of ACT scores)? In Missouri it would be well-known, but for colleges outside of MO, would I need to say the criteria? It sounds a little pompous to have to say the criteria for the scholarship.

TOTALLY INCLUDE IT!
That's actually a good way of grouping everything...much smarter than my method of doing it individually...I ran out of spots to put things. (not an intended top by any means)

I once imagined a Firewire (USB x 1000 for those non-Mac users) port installed conveniently above my temporal bone. Thus, I could transmit data to my head at super fast speeds. Whole text books and atlases. Sooooooooo awesome.

The brain functions so much like a computer, speaking in electrical impulses like a machine uses binary. I bet some day we may be able to invent this!

I live in DC right now and go to undergrad here. It's an awesome city and awesome environment. I am in 😍 with GWU and Georgetown - these two are tied with NYU as my top choices.

A physics professor at my school is currently researching into what is called Quantum Information Technology (QIT). It uses proton and electron interactions analogically to the 0 and 1s of binary code to create a quantum computers. It would be like a super computer raised to the super computer power :idea: link

Yup yup yup! It's a beautiful area. I can say honestly that I do not think I could have found a better match any of my other school choices.
However...DC summer is brutal...VERY brutal. Very hot and very humid.

Yeah, I lived in DC for two summers and it killed me! My state is very dry in the summer, so even though the average temperature is the same as it is in DC, the wet heat was a lot to get used to. And it never got any cooler at night!

Still, DC was a fantastic place to live. It's different enough from a real city that you don't feel like a skyscraper is going to fall on top of you, but similar enough to a real city that everything important is open 24/7. And I fell in love with the National Gallery, and the Metro system.

But I don't know... I'm really feeling the midwest...

Chicago or anywhere in Michigan really. At least for medical school.

I'd be happier here, I know it. Only school I would make an exception for is Tulane. Straight up mad love to NOLA!
