Wow. My list is at 18 and I'm thinking I'll get it down to 15. I just can't afford that many, even though with my lower mcat I need to apply broadly...

Lower MCAT?

29 is very respectable. You clearly understood what was going on. It's not as shiny as a 30. But it will probably get the job done.
 
Looking to apply to 6 schools. Best part is, there's only 3 secondary apps I'll have to fill in between them.

Hopefully I won't regret making my list so short :laugh:

They have an awesome one in Tucson. It got to be so popular that they made it stationary and put up tents and seating.

Well my stats are lower than average so I applied to 31.
My friend told me to apply to as many as possible (he applied to 50, 13 interviews)

My dad wants me to apply to every single med school 😱

It is, but its not without its benefits. I'll be applying to the HBCUs because of it, (and a variety of other reasons hopefully explained in secondaries and interviews).

But honestly, why only 6? Is money really tight or you just wanting to stay instate for other reasons.

Working under the idea of not applying to schools that I would hate the idea of going to :laugh:

Also, laziness.

I really should have learned my lesson from undergrad admissions. Ended up only applying to two schools, and I kind of regret not exploring my options a bit more.

2. Take the money.
3. Don't apply to every school.
4. Tell him you got rejected from the schools that you didn't apply to.
5. You now have spending money.

As you know, this is a different beast than ugrad. I wouldn't play around with it. Six is a little light. Time to put the laziness to rest.
 
Umm I sent my TMDSAS the 23rd and they submitted the 27th. I got an email last week saying they got my app. I was super gunner on filling out my app. I had most of it filled out in the first 5 hours it was open

I know, I know.

I actually don't mind the idea of writing secondary essays. I think I have a personality that doesn't really come across well in the primary application.

Adcoms will like this. You'll add diversity to their class. It's not everyday that you see an anthropomorphic raccoon apply to med school.

I had nothing to do that day. It was finals dead week, so being the bored crazy all nighter person, i stayed up to fill in the app. I had most of my essays written back in janurary so i just modified and edited until the end of may when I taught they were good enough.

If its any consolation for you, my score/grade stats arent that great so the earlier the better for me

ENGINEERS DONT SLEEEP!!!

Some of my family members have body image issues. so it's just even difficult to enjoy food around them. I mean really, when you're 80 lbs., chain smoking virginia slims, and crying about how fat you are it's hard to enjoy my pancit.
