THIS is why I am a very strong proponent of the burden of proof system that we have. Just because a lynch-mob in Florida is convinced she's guilty and wants blood does not mean that they should get it. The prosecution had a case seemingly built upon "But, who else could've done it!". Do I think she was guilty? Yes I do. I am however glad that we have a system that at least
tries to prevent wrongful convictions. Don't even get me started on the death penalty either

. I am however very sad about what happened to that sweet little girl.
BTW, if you think you guys are tired of hearing about it, try living in Orlando!

Edit: Read "The Innocent Man" by John Grisham (his first non-fiction). You will see the bad things that happen when cases are tainted with bias and prejudice. There have been people a week from being put to death that were saved due to new technology. These people were convicted due to corrupt police, prejudice against mental illness/the homeless, and a "No one else could have done it" attitude.
