Awww, CodeBlu, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. 🙁 Even two months later it still has to hurt. I don't know what I would do if my family dog died. I'd be a complete wreck. She's seven so she has plenty of years ahead of her, but she's a black lab and big dogs don't live super long lives.

It's safe to say that I don't live in Detroit proper... however, I still love it down there. Culture wise, festivals, plus I love WSU's campus.

And yeah... he was a great dog. Really he was. He had cancer. I swear I almost considered vet school. But my number one failing for that, is that animals cannot speak. If animals could speak... or I was Dr. Doolittle... I'd be a vet, maybe.

Hahaha my best friends sister is dating one of the guys who is part of the Epic Meal Time Crew. Next time I am in Montreal, I am going to get on their next video somehow.

I would love to be a youtube sensation for eating unhealthy food... it would require ZERO effort on my part.

I love the midwest. Never been to Detroit, but from the way you talk about it I need to visit. Hopefully I'll bet an interview at Wayne State.

We're putting our family dog down this weekend, if she makes it until then 🙁

I wanted to be a vet when I was little. My aunt is a vet, so she let me watch her do a spay surgery on a dog. I couldn't deal with it. 🙁 I know she's helping them but it'd be so hard to cause pain to animals. I don't know why I don't feel that way about people--I hate causing someone pain but I can do it when it's necessary. But animals...nah, couldn't do it. I hated dissecting animals, too, but when I did a cadaver dissection it didn't bother me at all.

Also, I sincerely hope you get an interview at Wayne State, and I hope I get one too 😉... on the same day... so we can have dinner and a movie afterwards? I can show you around town 🙂

She had a good life, she's about 17, with severe dementia. I can only imagine how hard it would be to go through with a relative (grandparents or parents, especially) with Alzheimers.

If we both get interviews we will definitely have to schedule them on the same day!

Unfortunately they don't let you schedule your own interview.

It is written in your letter...

However, they are accommodating if you have to change... I think we could get lucky and get the same one...

Well that sucks. I really don't like the idea of missing a lot of class and such to do interviews.

Yeah, the profs should be OK with it, I just hate having to copy somebody else's notes. I guess it's not that big of a deal. I also have a lot of stuff going on weekends that I don't want to miss, but will probably have to.
