Thank you! 😀 And word. We started a week later in August, and don't officially get out until the 21st. Though, we're off until the 17th, so that ain't TOO bad. I think everyone in here is just busy with finals though 🙁 I myself haven't posted in a few weeks.

Awww, thank you - you are so sweet 😍 I did something similar - I hung out with my friend who made late lunch and we had lots of red wine :laugh:

And yes, I feel much better today - I have a graduation to go after work so the day should get even better 🙂

Well, I'd be careful not to take anything for granted. Nothing's guaranteed--there's still passing classes, residency apps, job interviews... don't underestimate any of that. The stakes are progressively higher at each phase given the amount you invest.

I wish I was 21 again and could consume much more alcohol and not suffer like I did this morning. 🙁

The stakes are higher, yes, and I imagine that the effort invested is as well, but it also remains true that, statistically, your odds of success increase after each successive hurdle. It's just always seemed that more people are qualified to pursue medical studies than will ever be admitted, and almost invariably I hear "if you can get into med school, you can get through med school."

Italy!!! you can spend days traipsing all around rome. and you should make a day trip to venice before it sinks. milan / florence depending on whether or not you like fashion / museums, the island of capri...
also, prague, barcelona and paris 😍

i was at a birthday party last night where the host explained his favorite vodka was ciroc because he had never experienced a hangover before on it. i then tested the hypothesis with many, many ciroc drinks and i have to say today that i concur.

My point was simply that no, I don't /know/ that my efforts will not be in vain, as you originally replied. A statistical likelihood isn't a certainty.

Anyway, my goal wasn't to trivialize anyone's experiences but just to offer some perspective to help get through what I know is a grueling process (through the use of a Futurama quote).

I wish. I celebrated by taking Nyquil shots. The stress of finals and med school got to me, and my immune system crashed. Ended up getting the flu yesterday around 5, and spent most of my birthday sneezing and in bed. Now I'm furiously trying to finish a lab report thats two days late and am prepping a presentation for tomorrow while my sinuses are killing me.
