Yeah, the cover photo on my Facebook. TMS and I made them when she visited for her Case interview. Chocolate cake filled with snickers and homemade caramel, topped with a salted caramel buttercream, snickers and more caramel 🙂

what can i say, you bake so many beautiful and yummy confections, it's hard to keep track of them all!

okay do we like the idea of a snickers cake, or snickers cupcakes then? i'm torn. ooh or a snickers ice cream cake...MAYBE I WILL MAKE BOTH!

Bikram was moved an.hour back.today. but its a thirty min walk back home so i decided the next best thing to do would be to go to the burger joint around the corner and snarf down my second dinner early.

Bacon cheeseburger, chocolate shake and fries.
I have 0 shame.

Guurrlll I have no idea how you do it. If I ate anything before Bikram, I would have thrown up.

My menu for the day:

1 banana
Protein bar
Egg whites with lots of veggies, salsa and a tablespoon of goat cheese
Open faced veggie burger with lettuce, tomatoes onions, mustard and ketchup
Small salad
Few tablespoons of hummus with carrots

Yeah i just found out theres a tjoes around the corner on the way home. Dangerzzone.

Plus im pretty sure the cashier was laughing behind my back as ahe rang up my goat cheese, gouda, cheddar cheese, tofu, ribeye, white cheddar popcorn, pistachios and chocolate chips. There was definitely a smirk as she asked me if i just came from yoga...

i've got more sad news for you - I will not be making a reappearance in your town anytime soon, permanent or otherwise.

but on the bright side, if you ever show up here, i will have an armory of good food at your disposal.

Just figured out how to multiquote with the SDN app, this thing is awesome. Thanks everyone for the return welcome... it has been too long. I am guessing second looks are coming up for everyone, have fun at them! Many of my classmates made tons of friends at them (I got in too late at my school to go to second look. 🙁 ) seriously, how cool is it that an institution is trying to woo you because you're bad ass? Enjoy and savor!

I'm heading to my state school's second look, only because I have to interview for their Urban Medicine track then. Missing an end of the year office party, a huge formal, and need to reschedule my undergrad thesis presentation 🙁. At least it's worth it?

Too. Dang. HOT. It's OK though, 'cause on Saturday I'll arrive in Albuquerque, with an expected high of 59. That will be the warmest city I visit, too. So excited for some cooler weather! 😀

I think I've only experienced hail once in my city.
 
I keep hearing a bunch of neurotic pre-meds on campus talking about applying this summer. 90% of the information they share is just wrong. I feel like I should correct them, but last time I said anything, I was told I had no idea what I was talking about.

On swearing: I was instructed as a child that darn was a better word to use than dang. Can we discuss this? I feel like they're both equally benign now that I'm out in the world.

yes, because if you get UMed, which you will, then you'll definitely be placed in Chicago as opposed to Urbana, Peoria or Rockford. and since the Chicago track is filled right now, you really really want to interview for UMed.

yeppp! i can't find a gif of my favorite line though. it's the part where sam says, "let's go get the **** kicked out of us by love." that kid is adorbs. if i could get a guarantee that all my kids would turn out that cute, i would totally be willing to procreate.
