On interfolio i print out a letter of recommendation form which has a code to file it once sent.
The letter writers sends the letter and interfolio form and it stores it confidentially on interfolio. From there you can send it off to the app service.

I paid around $20 for about 3 months i believe? Also for each send its about $6 but this can include all letters at a time. Overall this is a nightly process if sending electronically, and the letters are sent/received pretty fast

This may have been asked/answered before but why interfolio over AMCAS?

Nice! Letters are frustrating me. I have asked for all of them but only 2/6 are in. 🙁 1 professor said it would take him 2 weeks and it has been 2 months. Arg. PS is done though! YEA BUDDY!

YAY SPRING BREAK HERE TOO!!!!!! My last final was bad though, now I am concerned for my grades. These are the last grades medical schools see after all 🙁

I'm lucky because the professors at our school write lots of letters because we have so many medical school applicants, so they know that we don't need them til secondaries.
 
JUST finished my application for my school committee letter. Let's hope the letter doesn't get sent out too late. Do any of your schools require you to write an autobiography on top of your personal statement??

Kinda related my school doesn't use a committee just a reference letter service, but you have to fill out biographical information for the service.
Also all of my letter writers had a 30 min meeting with me so that was kinda an autobiography

Dude, I wish that's all we had to do. They said that the autobio we submit will be sent along with all the letters, so it was like a second PS. I'm wondering if schools will actually read it. Now it's time to harass all my letter writers. :meanie:
 
I FINALLY started on my personal statement! Yeah, I know I'm so far behind everyone else, but I got one quarter of it done.
 
Hey. Applying this cycle, so 2017 woo!!! Reading this thread makes me realize I have to start on a lot of things (eg Personal Statement) Should be an interesting year.

2017, yay for prime numbers!!!!!

I just started mine too. Took me a lot of brainstorming to come up with an idea for my PS. For me writing is the easier part, so I am hoping to be done with a rough draft sometime next week

Nah, I don't think you're behind. 😎 The only reason I started mine so early was because my school requested it early. Good luck with your PS!

13 lbs weight gain. Its mcat or pchem or studying for other classes. And I'm a very bad stress-eater.
Lol my friends don't even invite to things anymore BC they figure I'm gonna say no.

this=my life exactly. I forgot to mention the eating accompanied the studying, I thought that was clear lol And I'm also a chem major, so high-five for pchem -___-"
My friends have just given up on me. I just skype them now, as if I were in another country XD

I went for a run this morning though, it felt really awkward, but I need to keep it up or the physical stress is going to mix with the mental stress and I'll just breakdown. Conquer ALL the stresses. 🙄

I lost weight studying for the MCAT....I was convinced I needed to exercise frequently and eat super healthy to do well on the MCAT. I wish this was my attitude normally.

Physical stress will help you conquer all the mental stress! When studying for the MCAT I would go on runs and listen to Audio Osmosis. This worked very very very well for me - an auditory learner to the max.

Don't know about you guys but when I was studying for the MCAT I often forgot to eat. Definitely not healthy. :laugh:
 
hey i am planning to apply this cycle but i have absolutely zero letters of rec. do you guys suggest that i just go to the teachers that i got A+'s in? are female professors more understanding than male profs (srs question)? i have everything else needed to apply besides these LORs...what would you guys do in my shoes??

Classes that you got As in would be preferable. Are there any professors you have relationships with or still talk to now? This is pretty time sensitive. Professors can sometimes take FOREVER to write letters of rec. You should make appointments to meet your teachers right now, and see what they say.
