I do...but my grad student is really unorganized so I have to wait for him to see what I have to do for the day. I've talked to him about maybe sending me a list etc but he is just not on the ball lol

Just got a financial aid reminder email from the school I was accepted to addressed, "Dear Medical Student"...Almost can't believe this is really happening!

What's everyones plans for the weekend? My goal is to finish the book I am reading and spend the rest of the weekend relaxing with my in-laws and wife.

Theres a restaurant in my area called NOLA, and it's a themed restaurant so it's like the poor mans version of actually flying over :laugh:

I want to visit NOLA! Leonar Cohen is playing there this spring...

My mom is visiting for the weekend 🙂 so... probably movies & coffee.

I'm from NOLA. lol. Grew up there... Nothing like the real thing. Ha. And it's almost Mardi Gras season and I have a feeling it will be the best one ever since its the first one that I have a med school acceptance. Haha

I won't mind meeting a fellow classmate during the parades. If they can keep up, maybe MS1 won't be so terrible lol.

Exactamundo. Those of us that have been insanely fortunate enough to land bench authorship know this all too well. My PI even had a framed scroll in the lab that read something to the effect of, "Thine almighty PI shall have the last word on authorship," not to mention his citation for picking shrooms in a state park and supply boxes labeled "crack pipes." Those are just things I can mention without violating ToS. LoL

Heck, just bring work with you to the lab if you're still taking classes. Otherwise, I gurantee you that if you go around and ask other people if they need any reagents or supplies and provide, you'll make yourself some life long friends and perhaps find yourself on a more important project with someone who IS on the ball. 🙂

Whoah, a fellow Cohen fan, eh!? Not too many of those in these forums, right along side the David Lynch fans. 🙂 I'm so glad you mentioned that he's playing this spring. I had no idea and have been looking for an excuse to make it down there! w00t!

"I do what I have to do, to get by" My SO took me to his Brooklyn concert on 12/21 to celebrate our anniversary 😍 I did get some funny comments about my age from folks sitting next to us lol. Do you think you'll make it to NOLA to see him? He is going everywhere: http://www.leonardcohen.com/us/tour/events 😀

Phwew, those tickets are PRICEY! Too bad the NOLA is in the middle of the week: I work full-time. 🙁 But I'm glad you posted the link, thank you. I'll probably hit the one in Louisville. 🙂

He did mention that he'll try to continue to tour for at least 2-3 more years. I was thinking about seeing him in Oakland, CA but I think that I might wait until he goes to SoCal. I hope that you make it 🙂 His show was ~4 hrs!

Oh HECK yeah! 4hrs!? Worth it! Hah, I'm such a SoCal boy. I don't think I could handle the Oakland crowd. I refuse to see my favorite team play a home game due to the chaos that is Oakland. LoL
