I'm thinking of buying a new laptop.
I've gotten a "Are you Doctor Strange?" on two separate occasions tonight. Awkward.
The struggle is real.
Hmm interesting. So you think it's worth waiting? The thing is I'm having a hard time imagining how whatever upgraded specs the new iPad will have will benefit me significantly. I basically just need it for taking notes and other miscellaneous school stuff...
Car stolen. Lost a day of studying trying to deal with it. First week of med school was not the awesomest.

Just signed up for Uber... lol
Orientation tomorrow 😀 I wonder when I'll stop getting excited about these things. Probably when I wake up at 7am tomorrow.

How exciting! When is your white coat?

Woo! Enjoy!
Also, I love the feeling when a breeze hits your head after getting a haircut. 😍

Daygone,
You follow the GPS shortcuts (i.e. toll road for 100 miles), you're gonna have a bad time.
Who is daygone?
It's a word that substitutes for an expletive.
That's why I jumped at the chance to rent at a condo which is literally across the street from my school's library, lecture halls, and hospitals![]()
I couldn't afford this. The difference in rent per month is close to $500 from what I am paying. That's $6,000 per year! Instead, I am 4-5 miles from campus. However, there is a super nice bike trail that is only a mile away. The bike trail isn't a straight shot, but it is still quicker than waiting at lights. Altogether, it will be about 16-17 miles a day (round trip) of riding my bike. Sound like a lot, but it takes the same amount of time as riding the bus plus I get to exercise and burn calories. I just have to get used to riding in the rain.
But in the winter?
It's Seattle. It doesn't snow. When it does, everything closes down like the apocalypse happened.
Just goes to show how geographically inclined I am. 😳
But it does rain quite a bit, no?

Truth! Also I like you medical student status update!
Shh! I am not actually a medical student yet. I just got tired of waiting and people weren't listening to advice on the forums because I was just another premed.
Changed my status to medical student and everyone believes me! The power is a little unsettling, but also enjoyable.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but for some reason, everything you say suddenly sounds 30 times more accurate! Also, do you want to make out?

August 16th!!! I have a feeling I'm one of the few people these days who's REALLY excited about that. Yeah, we haven't done anything medical yet but as someone who thought I wouldnt be getting to this step this year (or anytime soon for that matter) I'm insanely stoked. 😀 😀
So, you guys who have become med students, have you cultivated a coffee addiction yet? I hear, in med school, coffee becomes more important than air.
