I liked how fast it went-- still, felt like an idiot in a white coat. My favorite speaker was definitely Dr. Smith-- can't believe orientation is finally over. Now the real thing begins.

Anyway, who are you, KinesiologyNerd? I still haven't figured it out, and am a bit curious-- I've seen you post so much on SDN.

Whew, haven't been on all summer but figured I'd say hi... crazy that a bunch of you guys have already started! I'm moving tomorrow and orientation starts on Tuesday. Yikes... time to finish packing...

Go to your notifications on your phone, outside of the app, and read the coupon code that came with that message. I am guessing you just input that into your order.

S--- just got real, I just signed an email with MS1 after my name for the first time!

Now, off to the river for some whitewater rafting.

Damn we get video posted 10 minutes after the lecture ends with 1-2x speed etc, and all the videos can be searched by keyword if you're looking for something in particular.

Freaking AT&T taking forever to setup my internet. Trying to setup Dropbox with my iPad (so generously provided by my school - word is we trade them in for iPad minis come 3rd year) is not fun with my phone tether 😡

Also, suggestions on apps for note-taking? I'll need something that can handle PDF and Powerpoint.

Goodreader is what I use, but I have no idea if it can do .ppt, all of our lectures are uploaded in PDF. But you could always save the ppt file as a pdf (if you have a computer with something that can do that).

I use notability if I am freehanding anything (ie not annotating).

Notes Plus is good, you just have to convert ppt to PDF.

Lucky, I have been fizing my car but had to stop because no place has the part I need.
 
I'm slow cooking and freezing about two weeks worth of meals. Surprisingly little amount of work required. Anyone got any good crock pot recipes?
 
Just got a new phone. Loving how much faster it is, and being on Verizon instead of T-Mobile is a huge difference too!

I've done this one and it's fantastic. Pulled chicken is also easy to do as well.

Also, AT&T y u no accomodate me?! The tech didn't install yesterday and they never followed up with me on rescheduling an appointment. I almost got screwed but was able to find a slot on Thursday - the next earliest was like 2 weeks from today. And they won't let us do a self-installation. :boom:

If Time Warner comes through and can get to us earlier we're totally jumping ship and switching. I hate dealing with Internet companies.

My internet is so fast that speedtest.net cannot properly read it. The site can only read up to 100 megabits/s. I download from steam at about 80 megabytes (not bits) per second.

I feel like I've fallen in love for the first time.

You don't have google fiber do you? The town where my undergrad is will be getting it soon. So jelly
 
That's the speed of the internet jacked into my school. The wifi is only like 5 megabits I think, pretty standard. I'm at Drexel.

That sucks! My car needs a few minor things, and I'm thinking that if I want to make a (probably futile) attempt at getting Washington residency next year I should probably switch my license & registration over before school starts.

In other news, when I have this much unstructured freetime I can't really focus on anything and I'm starting to feel restless. I'm starting to feel ready for school to start.
