Class of 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Cali added me just now. I just made it so theres nothing on it yet. I'm going to make an MD apps page and then head to bed. I'l add stuff tomorrow.

And sadly California does beat Florida... but nothing compares to Miami women👍
except me!!!!! 😀

lol i just realize there are like 1384203843 guys on this thread, but only like, 2 girls..

For a second I was like 2 girls???? who????? I promise once the MCAT is over I will have more brain space. 😳

This reminds me of my politically incorrect way of remembering the difference of a ligament and a tendon.

Ligament - Bone to Bone

omg i love you 👍

We get just the right amount. Thats why California > Texas.

Anyone else want to question California's superiority?

You did NOT just say that....

Expect this guy to pay you a visit in the upcoming days:

I don't really want to leave, but I just want the freedom to do whatever sometimes.

Yeah, I definitely hear that...

You guys are crazy. Bring on the category 10 hurricane! It'll make a great PS...too bad I'll be dead under 100ft of water 😛

Why does people dying in a hurricane make for good personal statement fodder? 😕

I was in the eye of a hurricane. Quite literally. I stepped out onto my front porch, quickly scanning the area. Three victims. I knew there was little time to waste, so without hesitation, I began to put my spectacular pre-medical skills to work. Listening to nurses in the ER helped me know how to triage all three victims, so I knew that approaching the man under a live-wire was top priority. General physics II lectures flashed through my head, and I knew that I could save the man by running some quick calculations with Ohm's law, and building an appropriate resistor out of the debris. There was another unconscious man near a puddle of what I instantly recognized as formaldehyde. Luckily, I remembered my organic chemistry, and was fortunate enough to have enough Wittig reagent (never leave home without it!) that allowed me to convert it to a harmless alkene, saving the man from the carcinogen. I then noticed the third victim, a poor little plant that was blown out of the soil. My biology taught me that plants love soil with N, P, and K, so I quickly found some fertile soil and replanted it. Lastly, I knew the eye of the storm was the area of lowest pressure, and the eye of the storm was sunny. I used Le Chatlier's principle to make some more low pressure, which made the eye became much bigger to achieve some equilibrium or something, and the rest of the storm was much more mild. (Wait, was that how it worked? Maybe I can just control the weather. Which makes me awesome.) I was then given the keys to the city and told I was a hero. I think this makes me an excellent candidate to be a physician.
Clearly I'm tired enough that I've gone insane. Science does not work that way. Good night!

LOL Tots I <3 your mnemonic for ligaments. Kangaroo Paw approves of this messages.

Also, is it weird that when I saw someone say "crickets chirp" I immediately thought "rickets", immediately thinking of a calcium deficiency in bones, and a low mineral😳rganic matter ratio in the hydroxyapatite matrix? Methinks the MCAT is getting to me 😱

My favorite mnemonic EVER in the world is "Hold da FON" for hydrogen bonding. Except, it's not hold the phone, it's "Hold da FON" in a Jamaican accent. FON= Fluorine/Oxygen/Nitrogen. I love it so much that I literally think it in a Jamaican accent in my head every time I think of hydrogen bonding. Which happens about two-three times per practice MCAT.

Another good one is Whack'em and Giggle for f= 1/2pi radical k/m for springs and f=1/2pi radical g/L for pendulums.

Night, all!
