Class of 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Haha yeah I suppose your right. I guess I'm just not looking forward to driving 7 hours. Plus after two application cycles I am just ready to start medical school already!!

At least we are at that time of year when decisions are coming out.

Well then sounds like you should go. I'm guessing at this point since you aren't content with what you have so far you would say that the $400 dollars is worth it.

That being said I'm not sure about "right" fit. How do you know when it is right? The students you were interacting with could have a having a bad day, an upcoming test, a variety of variables. I'm not sure what you're right is but I hope you find it and the school that is for you. Good luck with your decision 🙂

The schools I liked the most were the ones where the students were relaxed the day before a test. I went to one school and people just had terror in their eyes the day before a test. I was :scared: and I did not even have a test to take.

So tired, but the second I get in bed I will be wide awake. fml.

Too early

Coworkers see me by the elevator and say "you don't look happy today" my response "too early... need coffee." I also mentioned that it is not safe to come near me if it is too early in the morning... I miss working at a lab, getting to choose when to go into work is awesome...

Stupid snow.. my ten minute commute took an hour today. UGH. Snow should only happen on weekends and holidays

But then you would not have snow days... I actually walk to work so I am afraid of the ice that may form by the time I am out today. I am still recovering from my last fall 🙁

I don't get Monday off 🙁

Hey guys. I'm about to start research for a novel I'm writing that's heavily based on the dreamworld, specifically lucid dreaming and concepts of time-perception (ala Inception). Any of you know of any books that would be good to learn about any of the following:

1) The science of dreaming in general
2) Lucid dreaming
3) The science of the brain
4) The science of perception
4.5) Specifically how the brain perceives time
5) Symbolism in dreams

Or if anyone can point me to the right outlet. I'm making a list in Amazon just from raw searches but informed recommendations would be good as well.

Have you watched that movie "Waking life" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0243017/) ? I think it talks about dreaming... also, are you going to include anything about out of body experiences? e.g. http://www.monroeinstitute.org/resources/out-of-body-experience-obe I did once began reading "The art of dreaming" (http://www.amazon.com/Art-Dreaming-Carlos-Castaneda/dp/006092554X) but never finished it. Good luck with your book! :luck:

Good article on out of body experiences:

Yea u mirin? Med school's probably the last thing you'd expect from a gym-obsessed philosophy major. Yet here we are.

I'm writing a novel too, but mine's about memory. Hopefully I get it done before med school, doubt I'll ever have time then.

OH SNAP! I just realized Monday is MLK day. :soexcited:
AND I have no classes on Friday. Hats off to you Mr. King 🙂

In other news, 4hrs of incubation in my research lab--entertain me, please.

Why don't you just leave and come back 4hrs later? I don't think I ever stayed in lab other to wait on my bacteria haha (micro research lab)
