Class of 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Nah, just love what I am doing.

Did your PI get back to you about your review yet?

Lol no. Probably still putting her mind back together after IT WAS TOTALLY BLOWN.

😎

I just went back through my posts to look at my first few.

I found that I only really started posting regularly since a year ago. Weird. It feels like I have been posting for a lot longer than that.

I could have sworn the best grade I could have gotten in this last class is an A-, but instead they gave me an A.

Oh well.. 🙄

I had a snow day cancel my one and only final exam last semester before graduation. Professor gave me essentially an "A of effort". Great way to finish out undergrad! Life can be awesome sometimes 😀

I'm not sure I can hold on. I'm pretty sure sneezing more than 1000 times a day is beyond what the human body can tolerate.

You're probably right. You've tried every antihistamine known to man?

Unfortunately. Some of them work great, but everything makes me drowsy, which makes it impossible to do my job. Oh well, allergy season is almost over, right? 😀

Haha yeah right. I'm allergic to dust, so my peak allergies are July - August. 🙁

Before I leave this job, I have to write a resignation letter, interview and train my replacement, and in the meantime everyone's like "jemstone I have this project for you!" "jemstone, please do this for me" "jemstone, can you help me with this?" Blah blah blah, I'm single-handedly making the clinic a better place. So once again I'm re-quoting this for absolute truth for how I wish I could just leave in peace:

Ick, you just reminded me that I have to do that. Where's that template from BABS again...

😱

I hope I'm not one of them 🙁

Ps not post padding, just on my phone and too lazy to try and multiquote.

quoting to prove you're not 🙂. no worries, nobody from 2017 made the ignore list.

i'm so excited to see all your avatars 😀.. but what happens when you run out?! back to default?

Wow, I believe I'm going to hell for coveting thy neighbor; that's insane....ly awesome!!

I foresee projectile vomiting at the end of your 10,000th sneeze...:barf:

Man, I thought med school panel interviews were bad. On friday I have a scholarship interview...with a panel of SIXTEEN people!

On the plus side...LAST INTERVIEW OF THE YEAR :soexcited:

Yep, but that won't happen until the summer is over.

If I don't receive enough to make it through then I will just commence drawing them myself. This current one took me less than 30 minutes. I can do them while watching tv.

This will have to do I guess...

I just got an idea for a new avatar... This one will take a while to draw... I better get started when I go home.

lol... it's possible.

Sort of, but I have a pretty high caffeine tolerance. I would literally have to drink coffee all day to stay alert (which is probably what we'll all have to do in about 4 years anyway).

I got off work 30 minutes ago and walked home. In the last 20 minutes I have had 3 beers... How did that happen?

I feel buzzed.

Were you drinking while walking?

Nope.

Haha

I guess I was thirsty.

Plus it is wing Wednesday. I am jealous of mcloaf and getting to be in Pullman the first year. Wing Wednesday is awesome at the Zzu (local bar). 10 wings for $3. Plus the drinks are extra strong. More drinks soon?

BABS, where are you first year again?

I still haven't been told. Maybe that means Seattle, maybe I will get a late placement in Pullman or Spokane. They said they will tell us in April/May.

I am getting kind of upset. My fiancée needs to apply for jobs and it is hard to apply to multiple locations when they are 300+ miles apart.

I would stick with WA. mcloaf and rachelkj are lonely...

Uhhh... Pullman & Spokane are still Washington 🙂

But we might lose mcloaf to Michigan 🙁

I know I'm a noob for saying this... but are those different UW campuses?

mcloaf will likely remain in WA. His gf is still there.

You are not a noob. WWAMI stands for Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho.

Each state has a campus for their students. 20 from Alaska, Montana, Idaho and Wyoming. Out of state people go to Seattle. The WA residents are spread among Seattle, Spokane and Pullman. Many WA residents have been told their placement but I haven't. Nobody from Seattle knows, but I could still be placed in Pullman or Spokane last minute.

The plus of so many campuses means that class sizes are about 20 at each site except Pullman (40) where I currently live and Seattle (like 80 will be there for first year).

Second year, everyone goes to Seattle. Third/fourth year you are spread across the five states of WWAMI. You get way more hands on clinical stuff since there are no residents to compete with outside of Seattle.

Also, tipsy bus riding >>>>>> sober bus riding.
