Class of 2017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

So I never actually got to go on the pre-matriculation road trip I was looking forward to for the past 6 months. My girlfriend ended up getting really sick and was in the hospital for 5 days. She's okay now, but instead of camping and driving cross country I slept in a reclining chair in a hospital for a week. I think I'm going to use loan money to go to Hawaii over winter break so I can at least do something while I still have some semblance of free time.

Brownie points for being a nice bf though 🙂

Hawaii, how I miss thee.

How I feel about waiting to change my status to medical student.

Wow. I tip my hat to you sir. Nicely done.

I'm trying to train myself to wake up at 5 AM for med school. I work well in the morning ( even though I hate waking up early), and it's good practice for the surgery rotation, where we'll have to be in the hospital at 4 AM. :scared:

Class starts at 8...?

Finally have internet in my apartment. I guess that means I am finally ready for medical school to start... in a little over a month.

The final avatar photo from anguisette.

Only like four more avatar photos until it is back to the original for medical school.

You have a surgery rotation during first year?

Lol, I meant third year for surgery rotation. I know we have classes at 8, I just want to learn to wake up early to work, since my study skills decline after 9 PM ( and class will run to either 3 PM or 5).

I just think my normal, wait- until- two-days- before- the- exam to start studying, study skills may not be sufficient. 😛

Spent $1,100 on a Sony Vaio ($1050 on the laptop and then another $50 on a personal RAM upgrade because Sony wanted $160 to do the same thing).

However, it should last through medical school and beyond. I feel guilty about buying it though because I don't like spending money on myself when it takes away from my fiancée.

I'm a Sony person... Satisfied with my VAIO.

I will see if it will actually last that long. However, if it does that will be awesome!

The new air claims 12 hrs too, but I'm wary of all these battery claims. It's probably at min brightness and no wifi or something ridiculous like that.

ugh.... more than half of the things that I unpacked were books..

Also TOP!!!! :zip:

I definitely did NOT need as many vegetables as I thought I needed. #medschoollessons

I recently discovered how much cheaper it was getting my veggies at Reading/the Italian rather than Whole Foods. Saving boat loads of money now 😀
