The second best thing about getting married.
I was 17 beers in when I saw your post last night and had no earthly clue what your pic was until this afternoon lol.

As for summer stuff, I applied to AMSA's international research program and am hoping to land a summer research position in Austria. Anyone else go that route, too?

International! I like it!

Dang. I would have applied for that had I known about it!

Yeah, not many people know about it. It kind of sucks, too, because only like 7 or 10 schools have priority since they have a local IFMSA chapter; so all of the highly desirable positions are already taken (e.g., Germany, Russia, France etc). I'm helping establish a local chapter at UT so I can try again next summer and hopefully land one in Germany or Russia.

If you're open minded country-wise, I think you might still be able to apply.

Damn, the gym's gonna be full of everyone who has a New Year's "Resolution...."

+1. I'm trying to re-watch the entire series of Breaking Bad.

Watched the final episode last night after a binge marathon that started over Thxgiving break. Still can't believe that's the same guy from Malcolm in the Middle!

New app is awesome. And this is my 999 post.. I'm apparently not that active in here.

Physiology starts Monday. Worked on Anki cards for lecture 1 and extrapolating from how many I have today, I'll have 8000 physiology cards by May lol.

Our governor canceled all K-12 schools on Monday due to the cold; It's supposed to be -25 to -50 with windchill. Received an email from my med school saying we will still have class...
Lol I was wondering how you guys were doing over there. It was a balmy -19 w/ windchill this morning here.

Wow!

It's 45 here. Low is 25 tonight. Supposed to be in upper teens this weekend. Can't imagine -19 weather.

That's a little overkill, isn't it?

Honestly don't know what to do other than learn almost every detail on each slide. That's what ended up working for me last semester. And my learning comes from thinking about the info and putting it into my own words as I make a card...but will prob never look at some of those cards again...maybe just a handful on weekends to solidify material from the week. I'll see how that goes and adjust accordingly I guess

This is definitely not sustainable if one plans to go to lectures 😛

I can barely count that high!

Honestly, after the temp gets negative, it all starts to feels the same: very cold.
I agree. Although I would say there is a noticeable difference between 0 and -20, but not much difference between the way -20 and -40 feel.
