This is our lecture slide. I can't focus on what it is supposed to be about because all I see is a frowning Snoo (the reddit alien) that commits suicide.

Weird, we have those same exact figures.

Pros so far: Biochem and Genetics are done. I'm starting research in a few weeks.
Cons: My Physio grade blows. I need to rock every quiz and exam we have left. My friends didn't believe my description of what carpal tunnel syndrome is. They found a Yahoo answers page that contradicted me, which makes me stupid, apparently. I suppose I still am a glorified college student at this point, but ****, really?... Really?

I am depressed yet highly motivated. I am a regurgitating machine. I am Jack's bloody vomit.

Is it weird that in actually kind of enjoying immune system stuff? It's pretty cool.
That may also be because I've been doing quite a bit of firecracker on the subject.

Yeah I actually just started Lost from the beginning, I'm excited. Watched up through season 2 years ago, but it's good so far. I have heard that **** gets a little weird towards the end...

Haha yeah I watched every episode before starting school. I really like the first few seasons... the ending is kind of a disappointment, but I think the show is still worth watching.

Edit: disappointment is pretty subjective though... I think "weird" is a good way of describing it.

I just finished the first season of Prison Break on Netflix... I actually really liked it.

You should stop after at most the 2nd season. Once they leave the prison, it becomes really, really, really stupid. Dexter levels of stupid.

I personally liked the ending, but pretty much everyone agrees the middle seasons are mostly filler. They move as fast as DBZ did in the Freeza saga. You expect a lot more loose ends tied off than you actually get.

I'm scared Dr. Krieger will be too much like me IRL.
I don't know. How into Japanese anime tentacle porn are you?

I second House of Cards. I watched a few episodes of The Wire but could never get into it. Maybe I should give it another shot.

It's a bit slow at times, but dear god is it an amazing show.

I tried to buy Seahawks tickets and they were sold out in less than ten seconds. Dang scalpers! I am not going to spend $500+ on tickets when I can watch it at my place with friends, beers and food for cheap.

Doing sexual history stuff. Had to watch videos on the right and wrong way to deal with patients hitting on you. One had teenage girl hitting on a 50 year old doctor and him being totally into it. It was the most creepy, cringe-inducing thing I've seen in a long time.

Preceptorship, histopath, anatomy, clinical skills, lectures and four labs plus two selectors this week... Ugh. Shoot me now.

Head and neck anatomy.. pls kill me now..
Do you have to essentially peel the front half of the head/neck forward in your dissection so that the face can rest on the chest? I don't know if every school dissects the head/neck like that, but that was my least favorite part.

I'm not sure, we have dissection tomorrow. I'm just really annoyed by how disorganized the anatomy lectures have been so far. Our MSK block was really well-done with regard to anatomy but this is just.. chaotic.

This basically confirms how much I'm not looking forward to our head and neck anatomy labs.

We basically did that by dislocating the skull from C1. It took like three of us to pop it off.

Our H&N was pretty interesting. Out of about 25 cadavers we had a lot of different dissections. Coronal, sagittal, transverse cuts all at different points on the skull. Having a saw like the one below allowed for a wide variety of cuts.
