Okay, let me get this straight...because I have NO idea what class I *might* be because I started undergrad last Spring...so technically I am 17 credits ahead of those starting this Fall.
Hypothetically...
Spring-Summer-Fall 2011 (32 creds)
Spring-Summer-Fall 2012
Spring-Summer-Fall 2013
Spring-Summer-Fall 2014
Which means I *should* have the credits necessary to graduate at the end of Dec 2014. Which happens to be 132 b/c of my minor.
Then I use 2015 to finalize work on MCAT studies and EC's and applying to med school. Which means that if accepted, I would start med school in 2016, making me a part of the class of 2019. Am I correct in this logic? Being a freshie and having just decided to actually go to med school a few months ago, I am still new to the entire process and how long things take and yada, yada, yada lol.
Regardless...I'm joining this thread 😛
Ok. Here it goes. I know that most 2019ers haven't even started undergrad yet, but it's never too early to get started, right?
Mods, if you think this is inappropriate, please feel free to lock it. SDN community, if you think it's too early, please let it die.
And best of luck to all the 2019ers starting school in a couple of weeks.
Which is why I asked. But how could I be behind those who haven't even started yet? Wouldn't that mean that I would be ahead and more suited for 2018 and not 2020?
As stated before, I don't know exact time lines in regards to apply for med school. I just assumed that since I am slightly ahead and don't need to take that last Spring semester that other undergrads will...because I started two semesters before them. Of course I'm going off the OP who said
you can hang out until you're thread is created 🙂 and don't create it now..we're crazy enough to have a 2019 (and not get banned)Wonderful xD

welcome aboard! prepare yourself for the most neurotic 4 years of your life! (and the best, I'd assume 😀 )~glues herself to this thread~ 😍
rather live till 70 and actually eat amazingly ****ty stuff than live to 90 and eat nothing yummy 😛
Well, actually I start to feel bad when I eat crappy. Like I prefer healthy foods over junk now. Plus, you get to look good to 90 then fat to 70.👍

hello plastic surgery![]()
Same here. I feel like I'm about to throw up if I eat fast food and I have a burning sensation in the back of my throat whenever I drink soda because of all the sugar. It's amazing how much we've been accustomed to eat unhealthy for the sake of convenience.
Yay! Another 2019er!
Mmmm Mmmmmmmmm 😀
😕 thats what I want to get into..
yo aestheticmed, so are you doing straight bio
Idk, I'm prob going to stick w/ it 1st sem to see how I like it. But if the premed advisors say it'd better to do Bio or other things occur then yeah I'll prob switch. Why do you ask?

Integrative Neuroscience major Represent 😀, seriously though, this is the best major I could find for me.
it's basically biology/psychology major combined. It used to be called Psychobiology, but they changed the name for some reason to Integrative Neuroscience. When you become one, can you give me free surgery? Pls..?
Yayness. You're finally on the path to becoming another bio major just like the rest of us.
Like Art History?
What is integrative neuroscience?

eh its the general biology with a ton of pre-meds and science majors. my prof has a reputation of being pretty thorough as far as preparation for further study in bio goes. thing is it's impossible to figure out how difficult these intro courses really are. so many people speak of em like the end of the world. but when 7% or so of the class gets an A you have to wonder if you're overestimating yourself

AestheticMed said:7?%. Time to gun.
I am a fan of looking up my profs on rateyourprofessor.com. It really does help with the selection process. Of course, this doesn't apply if you don't have a choice because of scheduling.

Of course. Plastic surgery for everyone!
Sure why not?
Again, I'm warning you right now, and hopefully in a couple of months you'll come back to me..and say 'yeah you're right, f*ck this, I'm doing a history major'..you've just been warned 😛
Of course. Plastic surgery for everyone!
That's gotta be a really lucrative market in California for Plastics.
No it won't. Think about the competition. There are way too many plastic surgeons in California especially LA,so going there to start up your own business is suicide. Not only are you competing with too many plastic surgeons, but also you're competing among established plastic surgeons as well. Their reputations alone would knock you out of the business market.
yeah seriously. already scoped out my competition at orientation. i can take em
just checked, it's 9%. another 8% get A-'s but straight bio bros can't have that can we. so it's not bad
nahhh, people are always in need of plastics here..that theory is completely wrong. 😛 i know plenty of new docs who plant an office in the hills and do really well
