Hi,

I loved neuroscience, did really well in my classes, but had a really bad neuroclerkship experience. Just to give you an idea, at the end of the clerkship, my attending (the only person evaluating me) still didn't know my name! I am still interested in neurology as a field but I might not even get a high pass in my neuroclerkship. I'm doing well in the other clerkships and did very well on step 1. I would still like to consider neurology as a field but there's no way I'm going to ask my attending for a letter. What are your thoughts people?

Can you arrange another neuro rotation pdq? Is there another attending in neuro that knows your work? And, you should reconsider asking your attending. If she relies heavily on a resident or two that you worked well with, she might have them write the letter and sign off on it.

Good luck!
