Which do you think is better in prep for DAT Bio?

While Schaums may be more detailed, I thought Cliffs was more than enough in preparing for the DAT. I couldn't get past the first few pages of Schaums w/o falling asleep. Cliff's was a nice easy read. Buy Cliff's and read it multiple times. Good luck.

I think Cliffs is the way to go. I have the 2nd edition myself. I wanted to know from the rest of you if that will suffice? I have seen a 3rd edition with a cd-rom and wanted to know if that one is better? Thanks for any feedback guys.

I was warned to be careful. My friend told me that cliff's relies too much on the big picture and explaining important topics. Isn't DAT bio more obsure-detail oriented? Like asking you to track plant development on the cellular level or something. Schaum's is INCREDIBLY boring and annoying, but if what a lot of test-takers have been telling me is correct, you really need to memorize random details. Raven's Bio, as well as campbell's bio are both good in terms of detail. I think if you memorize these textbooks back to back, you should be good for the exam. Best of luck!

I started with Schaum's and kept sleeping. I'm reading Cliff's now and loving it; I also go to Raven's online book and read too. It's helpful to me, at night i read like 2 chapters in Cliff's and in the morning i revise with Raven's online. Hope this helps. Here's the Raven online link:
