I have clinical experience... I have volunteering experience... But I do not have clinical volunteering experience. I have heard many people say that is fine, as you do not need clinical experience, as long as you have volunteering AND clinical experience. Thoughts?

i read a few threads about it. it's fine
but you need to be careful about diversity of experiences
i work in a clinic. legit never been to the hospital before. never shadowed in a hospital.
i think it's going to hurt me if i don't get at least some experience in a hospital

Med ed is moving more and more to outpatient settings but some clinical care takes place in hospitals and it might be a bit stressful to have your first experience in a hospital setting as a medical student. That can be a high stakes situation. At the very least, try to get some hospital based shadowing after you are admitted or even in the first weeks of M1 year so that you have a feel for some of the culture and expected behavior.

You are fine. You do NOT need clinical volunteering if you have paid clinical experience. The idea is to get you in front of patients, paid or not.
