Does anyone have any information on the clinical rotations for TUCOM-NV? I know that there are a lot of students from TUCOM-CA doing rotations at the NV site. I asked the Director of Admissions about the clinical rotations, and he said the school has written relations with the two hospitals, the University Medical Center and some other one (I forgot the name). Is this something to be concerned about? For those of you currently attending TUCOM-NV, or who are going to be attending, what do you think?

It really is just the beginning. I will post the OPTI list:

'Henderson is growing approx. 6000 people per month...there is tremendous need for physicians in the valley area (Henderson and Las Vegas). Our school does have big dreams, but with tremendous opportunity to matriculate those dreams. We are wanted by the hospitals and community...they are bending over-backwards for us to succeed and receive the training we need. Our Dean of Students used to be the VP for the Nevada medical school in Reno, and he has already paved the way with his networks by establishing allegiances with nearly all the hospitals in the area...where we can do rotations and residencies. There is no fear in my mind as a first year medical student that there will not be ample opportunity in the area.

As of this week the director of the Clark county Healthcare has begun, with our administrators, to establish a county wide preceptorships even before our third year rotations. As well our AMSA chapter has been extremely proactive in beginning the establishment of a mentorship program with UNLV and other community service programs.

There is more opportunity then we can deal with...thus, there is no limit on how deep and wide our vision can be...and no limit on our potential. Therefore, TUCOM-NV offers a great opportunity for someone who wants to step up and make a difference.

if you have any other questions please let me know...'
