100k people take the mcat every year, only 50~k people apply to medical school. Now if you go back three years that means there are in excess of 150k people that took the mcat and did not get into medical school.I’m wondering where all these extra premeds came from in the first place. Is there just a stockpile of premeds somewhere just waiting for COVID to hit so they can apply at once?
Im sure these people would like to try again, usually people move on , find other employment. But if you get laid off and have had a dream about becoming a physician. Now is your chance to study and take the mcat or atleast apply.
