Looking for some last minute advice on academic reputation and quality of training of Columbia v Maryland. Thought both places had really cool residents. Maryland seemed to have better facilities. Columbia seemed to have a better fellowship match. Both had a lot of research/teaching opportunities. Otherwise, the programs seemed pretty comparable. Location is less important to me and I'm familiar with both cities. Not sure which to rank higher...any help is appreciated!

I'd go with Columbia because of better research and fellowship match and better location. Baltimore is a tough place to live. If trauma is important to you then you must go with Maryland

so my understanding is that there was a mass exodus of faculty ~10 years ago + accreditation problems because residents were bein overworked, so columbia radiology really tanked. seems to be getting stronger but certainly has not returned to glory level status

How would you rank it now? Would you say it's better than sinai? or Mont?
