does anyone know when we can expect our comlex scores?
NebelDO said:thanks big frank
thanks idio.. these will definitely get us plenty of DO interviews..how much do you think it will translate over in the MD world? My USMLE was 237. Do you think our COMLEX scores will help at all to get more interviews or will it not matter?
i welcomes your thoughts..
DO chooser said:Just to bring down the scores a little: 612/89
What does this get me competitivewise? I was hoping for ophtho or ortho. I know it isn't 799/99 but I'm not that crazy!
I hope everyone gets the score they want.
GO CCOM!
Toast said:Just heard CCOM's pass rate may be an all-time low. I hope that's not true but I can totally believe this since we had such an unfair situation! Oh well, hopefully the dean will contact us soon.
PACtoDOC said:The highest you could get would be to sit right behind Idiopathic and copy!!
DeLaughterDO said:Mine's here too:
USMLE - 250/99
COMLEX - 735/99
Congrats everyone! You've all done so well! Now just relax and enjoy 3rd year - you have a year until the stress of step 2 comes up (and Step 2 CSE - yuck!)
Congrats again!

I really dont understand how the calculation is made, perhaps some questions were weighted more than others. I do know that a lot of the questions were trial questions, so there were actually far fewer than 750. i would also think that this would qualify for a 100 percentile, unless there were that many scores above this.
texdrake said:National Pass Rate for COMLEX: 88.8%
DMU pass rate for Class of 2006: 93.7%
Idiopathic said:Also, I believe that re-takers are not factored into school averages, but are factored into national averages. Re-takers typically pass at about 67-70%, so that could affect it.
DrMom said:btw: I got official confirmation that our 100% included the 4 3rd-time re-takers.
DistantMets said:OUCOM's pass rate was 94.3% out of 105 students. Our average was 524. They post it at school, so I know it's legit. 88% is rediculous. I know the test is poorly written and the content is random, but we're talking about passing, not doing well, just the bare minimum. All the more reason we should not be opening more DO schools and expanding class sizes. I'd love to see where these low pass rates are coming from. If there are all these schools above 90%, then there are probably several in the low 80s. Rediculous.
Idiopathic said:Yes, that may be, but it would not be included in the official school-by-school COMLEX report, it just so happened that ours worked out that way.
BTW, I question the 89% pass rate also.
PACtoDOC said:I got an email from NBOME a few weeks ago and they stated that the exam was basically curved so that approximately 6-8% of the nation fails. That makes more sense.
texdrake said:Rediculous how? That pass rate is fairly close to the USMLE pass rate when you are not factoring in foreign test takers.
