COMLEX II PE - How long of a wait?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
How long have you guys had to wait for PE results? Officially it's 8-10 weeks but I thought I read somewhere it's not quite that long, more like 6?

Officially it's 8-10 weeks....but if you look on the NBOME website you'll see that the scores for all PE exams taken up until 10/31/2009 were released in 12/10/2009. Then you'll see that all scores for the PE taken before 11/31/2009 were released 1/12ish/2010....so they appear to be averaging 6 weeks if you took yours late in the month but 8 weeks if you took it early in the month......mine was 12/14 so I get to wait until 2/14 if the pattern follows which will be....8 weeks....

A wee bit stressful....I'm hearing/reading about more failures this time through...what's the real scoop, anyone?

From what I see the scores are released on the second wednesday of the 2nd month after you take the exam. It appears everyone that the took the exam in the same month will get scores at same time.

i.e. Jack took exam Nov 1st. Jill took exam Nov 29th. Both should get scores on the second wednesday of January.

Those taking the exam late in the month will see a quick turnaround time compared to those taking the exam earlier in the month.

Good, I want to be sure I have plenty of time for a retake. I'm not too concerned with the PE because pretty much all the patients I've ever had have loved me, but if it's as random as the CE seems to be this year I don't want any setbacks.

Hey Everyone! Just to let you know, the PE results are now posted for Dec 21. I never got an email, but randomly checked. Yay! I passed! Good luck! 🙂

If you're right then I will wait ~10 more days for my score! Between this and the match in 19 days (who's counting?) I feel like a kid waiting all December long for Christmas morning to arrive. Here's hoping there isn't a lump of coal under the tree!

At least I already signed for my internship, but man, will I be ashamed & $1045 poorer if I somehow don't pass. Did well on both Steps, but forgot several things on PE test day.

Crossing my fingers...

In the same boat here...minus the signed internship.

Well, it's the day I've been eagerly anticipating...and still no scores! The NBOME isn't kidding that scores may take 8-12 weeks to arrive. Maybe I will learn about the match and my scores on the same day. 😀

This is ridonculous...if you look back through the nbome news release archives several months, scores should have certainly been released today. No clue what's going on. GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

They're probably 1-2 weeks behind because of the blizzard closings. Also February was a couple days shorter than the previous months. I'm gonna guess probably Friday or sometime next week.

I'd just like to know so I can have plenty of time to reschedule my retake.

They're up online...PASSED! So ridiculously relieved. Even still, my own neuroticism likely won't let me truly accept it until I get the hard copy in the mail.

Hoping everyone else heard similar news!

Took mine Jan 21st..got my passed score today..hope everyone else received good news also.

Yup, scores are up and I passed! For those who are still waiting, I made the following mistakes and still passed:

-only did OMM if prompted
-forgot to drape one patient
-didn't do a CV physical on one pt where it was crucial
-ran out of time with 4 patients
-was about to walk out of the room without a diagnosis for 1 patient before extreme prompting led me in the right direction
-was fairly curt with a pt that was being difficult
-almost laughed with 1 pt

I'm sure I did more wrong, but I can't remember now. Good luck to those waiting!

Having Passed as well, I wanted to add to the above (keeping in mind, this far out, I'm not sure what I remember):
-only did 1 additional suboccipital release for HA (otherwise only OMM when prompted)
-Completely forgot to do a true abdominal exam on a pt with an abdominal complaint (what scared me the most)
-OMM primarily consisted of very basic exams specific to their complaint with no more than 5 minutes of treatment (typically soft tissue with the occasional ME)
-Completely forgot to document my neuro exam on a neuro pt
-Probably many, many more things, but I really don't recall

Important things:
-draped everyone
-washed hands before every physical exam
-sincerely listened to everyone (no interruptions)
-alleviated any concerns a pt had regarding their condition
-showed empathy to any/all pts (whether it deals with their own condition/state or the loss of a loved one)
-5 differentials for every pt

Ultimately, I have no clue how this thing is graded, and I felt like I could've failed just as easily as the next person. Hell, I just re-checked the nbome website to make sure I still passed...

I would never wish failure of this monstrosity on anyone, and I sincerely hope every single person passes this damn thing. The simple thought of having to shell out an additional 1K (not including airfare/hotel/etc) just to go through another day of stress, especially this late into 4th year, is truly sickening.

Best of luck.
