Thanks for the invite. We had plans for thanksgiving, I won't go into detail for fear of being lynched by less fortunate classmates.

haha, nice. i'm trying to use this time for biochem/micro studying, but i've just spent 3 days being as lazy as is possible and my brain has already lapsed back into stupid territory.

ohh, poor Jack...what to do with all that extra time not having to study for anatomy...what to do?

I've been living, breathing, eating, sleeping anatomy just so I can get my sorry-a$$ caught up. Must be nice to have all that time for biochem and micro. I'm not bitter.

I think I'll wish myself luck :luck: <turns to self> good luck JMC, ya poor ba$****.

A gunner in hiding. But you knew that. Have some English Beat.

don't worry about anatomy- all your eating, breathing, sleeping and sweating will pay off and you will kill that ish.

You must've got the cheap tour.

In the classroom, in the pharmacy break out rooms (since we don't have our own break out rooms. plus you can get kicked out by pharm students btwn 8am-3pm), in the student commons, in the campus library, or your local Starbucks (Mission and Garey)

so was it just me or did that practical blow ass!!!! 🙁 I'm seriously scared of anatomy and unless we get a very generous curve, I might be doing ISAC this summer, THIS BLOWSS!!!!!!!

I study at home and rarely go to school. You can download the lectures and listen to them at 1.4X playback. I save 15 minutes a lecture and 10 minutes because I skip the breaktime in between lectures. For some professors it is pointless to listen or go to lecture because they read off the notes/powerpoints.

Can an upperclassman comment on the difficulty/stressfulness of the systems? I counted we have 11 exams next semester compared to 16/19 this semester. Will it be less hectic, or will the 11 exams just get bigger and harder?

I "BLANKED" completely.... never happened to me like that before oh well on to biochem and micro!!!! (and pharm on the side).

I felt that the practical was fine, but there certainly were some odd/tough ones...I am, however, very concerned about the written portion and the effect it will have on my fate in this 2008 class. 😳

The pathology report points will be much needed and greatly appreciated.

That wasn't a blank...you saw the light, my friend...you saw the LIGHT!

In other news..I have been doing biochem for part of the day and I don't like this one bit. There are 22 lectures, so much stuff to put our arms around. At 4 questions each, we are looking at an 80+ question biochem exam...not cool at all. Surely he'll trim that down, no?

And neurosensory is 15.5 units...I thought anatomy was a beast.

My COMPanion said neuro is hard, but not nearly as hard as taking micro, biochem and pharm all at the same time. I hope that is true ...

WTF?! hey JMC did we take a different anatomy test? 😉 I thought the written was cool but only because I hear that review lecture twice. I thought that was really helpful, practical was tricky and my problem is that I know I missed some easy ones (damn tensor fascia latae muscle!) so yeah I'm afraid. I really don't want to take anatomy again :scared: let us all pray for a generous curve!

yeah i missed easy ones too; i forgot quadratus plantae existed, and i missed one of the slide cross sections and the MRI

Was it just me, or did they take some of the bones out of one of the legs on the front row?

Blow my cover too why don't you...you have no idea of the hardship caused by having to relocate my family under the federal witness protection program every time my cover is blown.

Thanks, my family appreciates it.

And leave it to Ryan to dot the i's and cross the t's, thanks buddy.

No point in dwelling in the past. Onward to micro. I'm trying to listen to the Saviola lectures that I didn't go to because I can't stand listening to her in class. Yeah, she doesn't sound any less valley-girl on-line.

Micro seems just impossible to me!!! how in the world, am I suppose to study and remember all this organisms in 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Somebody shoot me,please! 🙁

what high yield? for all you gunners out there who actually went to class 🙂) how detailed is micro going to be? did she mention any parts that we should focus in? It's basically all memorization....not really any concept behind it, but should I really memorize which viruses affect only man? or more like which viruses are category IV kind of crap...either way I'm not sure if 3 days is enough time 😕 gotta get back to work, late

Dr. DOn
p.s damn, I wanted to play some poker this week, doesn't look like it's going to happen....or will it? 😉

from what i remember, during last lecture, she said we dont need to know the groups/Categories...but I am not 100% sure! 😕

I could study just Micro for a whole year and still not remember everything for this Final...=(

Don't forget the 8 free percentage points from the lab! That's definitely helpful. I didnt even do that well on the first exam, but with those free pionts, I still have a nice cushion going into tomorrow... and I need it cause I don't know any of this crap!

coolness said:

that's why they only give us less than a week (after our last final) cuz they realize we're never gonna learn it all so why not just get it over with a.s.a.p.

right? 🙄

Can that possibly be right? Are you sure its not just 8 points instead of 8% pts, that's a ton of credit for very little effort/work.

Not that I really need the help...I am so squared away for this semester that I have already begun reading up on neurosensory. I am so far ahead of the game. Too bad the rest of you suckers just don't get it. I had micro down cold last week, I don't understand what all the fuss is about.

yup, the tests are worth 92% and the lab is worth 8%. God help us all=)

Dang... I thought it was only 8 points I still hope I pass.

Do not underestimate the power of 8 percentage points. I figured it out; you need to achieve a 67.5% test average to PASS micro. That extra 8% pushes you to a final grade of 70.1%. Yay for underachieving!

You rock Fishman! I am all about identifying the bottom-line. This takes the edge off a bit -- just like a couple shots of Jager!

8%...yeah! I just finished reading the packets for the first time at about 7pm. I'm doomed! I hope i have a good guessing day tomorrow. :scared: :scared:
