situation

9/12 interview at Washington DC
9/13 interview at Kansas city

leave DC at 6pm arriving to Kansas 11pm, then interview at Kansas the next day

anyone done this type of thing before?

how was it?

i wouldn't do it. what if your flight gets cancelled or something?

do you really want to get in late at night then wander around and find your hotel?

i don't. guess that's me though.

i've got consecutive ones, but they're both in dc so not a big deal.

plus, i've rescheduled 3 interviews already, so it's not that big of a deal.

I double check with Kansas hotel, apparently there's a shuttle from the airport that will take me to their front door.

as for canceled flight, that is a possibility i have not thought about

I did it last year.

9/11 VCU
9/12 GW
9/13 Penn State

Then
9/21 Michigan State
9/22 Wayne State
9/25 Wake

You have to be very prepared and keep an extremely organized itinerary. For my VCU/PSU/GW trip, I flew to Richmond, then took the train to DC, then the train to Harrisburg, then flew back to AZ. I actually missed my train in VA and ended up getting to DC pretty late at night. Then my flight to Arizona from PA was cancelled and I was in Hershey for a few extra hours. But it is doable, and honestly it was kind of fun. But the travel part is stressful and tiring. I would suggest just bringing carry-ons with you in case something happens to your luggage. You don't want to be that person who shows up to your interview in shorts and sandals no matter what!

Totally doable, but you're going to be exhausted. It's worth it though. The faster you get your interviews done, the faster you can get an acceptance. If something crazy happens and your flight gets cancelled, just call the admissions office at Kansas and explain that you're stuck in DC and you need to reschedule. Stuff happens, they know that.

I'm going to be doing it. I think it will be manageable, provided you have your transportation arranged and itinerary on hand.

Can I buy one off of you? Congrats btw, you're on fire.

sure, if i get any more that are not to yale or northwestern i'd be happy to get rid of them. seriously, my credit cards are almost maxed out and i haven't even bought all my tickets yet!
