Depends on the school. I can't find that thread that talks about how schools notify you of acceptance (which also mentions if you can call and ask).

This really depends on the school.....most schools, you would think, you would hear something on Dec. 1st. Some schools have a delay and some schools wont tell you if you are on the waiting list right away. It really comes down to what school but there definitely is no guarantee.

I just realize that 5 of the 6 schools I interviewed for... all do snail mails.. Soo.. i won't get my rejection letters til Dec 3/4th ish? FUDGE... 12 +3 days!

and in general, the earlier the better for your interviews.

Interviewed at UCSF Nov 2nd and rejected today via email. I wish they waited until dec. 1st to reject me. Now, I am second guessing all my other interviews. I thought this one went well...

ugh...are you kidding? Schools are suppose to let you know on or after dec 1st. I would call them to see if it was a mistake.

unfortunately this is not true; they can tell you at anytime if you've been denied admission (they have to wait until december 1st for sending out acceptances). Also, at UCSF's interview they did in fact say they would be sending out rejections pre-dec 1st. Sorry 🙁

Does anyone know how important UCSF interviews are? Do they assign points to each portion of the application and interviews? Do they follow a particular formula?😕

Some schools I interviewed at told me they would let you know either way, acceptance, rejection, or waitlist.
