it's comforting to see that everyone has such great taste in tv! I'm surrounded by One Tree Hill and Grey's Anatomy fans who take the shows way too seriously.

Lol.....nice! One tree hill is the worst show ever....I unfortunately have a friend who likes the show and yes hes a guy and Im pretty sure the only reason he "likes" it is cuz a girl hes obsessed with loves it! How pathetic!

I believe I stopped watching that show in 10th grade...lol.. 2 episodes were enough to convince me to quit
 
you know what's a good show...dexter. i've been watching 3-4 episodes each day and it should take me up to dec 1 in no time!

I agree. Season 3 and 4 were great and season 5 was decent, but season 6 is getting worse with every episode.

5 stages of waiting for December 1st…

Denial- You do not believe that there is a possibility that you will not get into your dream dental school, and push out all thoughts of having to "settle" for your second choice or even worse apply again next cycle.

Anger- You walk around your undergrad campus and get angry at your fellow undergrads who are laughing and smiling and arrogantly think to yourself , " those stupid communication majors have no idea what hard work is."

  • Mind you I said arrogantly think to yourself

Bargaining- As the day expires and you lay your head to rest you think to yourself, I really don't care what dental school I get into as long as I get into one.

Depression- Your restless nights turn into long and drawn out days. You walk around your campus with a slight frown and those communication majors who previously made you angry remind you of a time when you used to smile and laugh.

Acceptance- You wake up on December 1st to a phone call. Your dream school is calling you to extend an acceptance and you cry/**** your pants/scream for joy/and have a heart attack all in one graceful motion.

HAHAHAHA Epic post... That's the exact mindset I'm in right now... I'm more than likely in the bargaining stage which means depression is next...

Uh oh... Any suggestions to combat the depression stage?

ahaha good stuff. I'm right at the bargaining stage. bargaining with myself, God, my parents who of course have no control over the situation but it makes them feel involved.


I love Ryan's outfits! I want to say he's going for a hipster. I think he must be going through some sort of pre-midlife crisis or a late post-adolescent self-discovery. either way he and kelly are the funniest things. I wouldn't mind if they ended the show. I'd prefer to see it end on a good note than get progressively worse.

but yeah one episode of grey's anatomy featured someone accidentally cutting off a baby's arm instead of the umbilical cord during delivery...what could possibly cause someone to do that besides sudden blindness coupled with a simultaneous seizure? and instead of cracking up like I did at the extents they will go for ratings, everyone else gasped in horror.

seven days...with thanksgiving it should probably go by faster than I'm expecting.
 
Yeah, I agree that the past seasons of the office were much better, but I still don't want it to end... I can't let it go! Haha.

Also, Dexter is a good show. I've actually only seen the first season and never got around to seeing the rest because I didn't have netflix anymore.
 
The office has to get back to some of the basics that made it good. Just some ideas:
Jim has to go back to a salesman because he is too serious as a co-manager and he is no longer pulling pranks on Dwight. Dwight himself is just too smart this season. Michael has to go back to his off the wall personality. They need to incorporate more "uncomfortable" moments in the office somehow.

nitro i totally agree. Sadly i discovered it on streaming netflix like a month ago so i already ran out of episodes to watch till december 1st. But i believe it is the best and most addicting show out there.
 
You guys want to pass time. The Sopranos is the best way to go. Best series of all time.

Can we incorporate the stage where you feel like all of a sudden you have absolutely no chance at any of the 8 schools you interviewed at? "Why did I use that answer in my interview?? Did I come off like an idiot? Gosh they probably thought I was a dumb ditzy blonde"

The only show that I think is amazing that hasn't already been mentioned is The Wire. It is by far the most well written and acted show I have ever seen. Go and rent the DVDs, from Netflix or whatever. 5 seasons of greatness. Almost anyone who has ever watched the show would agree... shame it had to end.

There is going to be a movie!? I heard some rumors but that would totally make my day! Hey Kneecoal good luck at your Western interview I just got an interview invite today for Dec. 2. Kind of a weird date but I want to check the campus out.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned LOST... so addicting! The last season starts in February... can't wait.

Curb is hilarious, especially this past season... better than ever. And there's also Eastbound and Down, which is hilarious (you could probably watch the whole first season in a day).
