Only 50 more days until the PGY-1s, the lowly scut-ass interns that we are, will be upgraded to the "all knowing" PGY-2 level! No "I'm just an intern excuse." No "I haven't done this before." No "I don't know" answers sufficing anymore.

I would say more knowing (not "all knowing"). As a second year, I still have way to much to learn to fell trul proficient.

I did get to float my first transvenus pacer in ED yesterday. Way to cool!Landed in the right spot first shot! This was after we resurrected him out of asystole with epi into vfib 2 shocks later into vtach (pulses present) then after 300mg amio into sinus rhythm after being down for 10 minutes. He went brady and we placed pads and then the trans venous. God I love codes. Good times.
