I am considering retaking a couple of classes from my freshman year..... Does anyone know how medical school admission offices feel about course forgiveness? Also, how does this (course forgiveness) affect the dental application service GPA?

med school? dent school? both?

I retook a class and even though my undergrad university replaced the bad grade, I still had to report both on AADSAS. I believe AMCAS does the same.

There is no such thing as "course forgiveness." Any college course you've EVER taken, no matter if you repeated it and got a better grade, must be reported---Meaning you will have to report both grades if you retook a class, and both grades affect your calculated GPA equally. No free rides in the admissions game.
