So I've already submitted my transcript to AMCAS already back in June, before my spring quarter at UCLA ended, but I'm just getting finalized to submit my app now. Thing is, since then, my grades have become available for the spring quarter. Should I update my application even though the transcript they have doesn't contain those grades?

hmm...well for starters you probably shouldn't have sent them your transcripts before spring sem. grades were in it...but hindsights 20/20 i guess. what would I do? try and contact AMCAS and see if you can send them a copy of the updated transcripts...if they'll let you do this, then enter the latest grades. Do not, repeat DO NOT, enter classes/grades that do not appear on the official transcript you sent them...your app will either not go through, or will only go through after a significant delay

its all a question of what you want. if you really want those new grades to appear on your AMCAS app (will these new grades *significantly* boost your GPA?), then send the new transcript. if its not a big deal, then just apply without those grades (this would be much faster, and probably what i would do).

good luck.

My GPA is pretty damn high as it is, my science GPA would probably go up veryslightly, but overall i'm going down by a few hundreths of a point. So in other words, the grades really don't make a difference. I'm just wondering if they care that I won't have the grades there.

i doubt the schools will care, but i guess you never know...

They won't care ... I wouldn't bother submitting if it won't help you very much. If it helps, AMCAS doesn't have my spring quarter grades, either.
