Hi,

I have been hearing rumors that the decision has been made to transition CPJE over to MPJE. Will this actually be happening?

4200.2.

When developing the California Practice Standards and Jurisprudence Examination for Pharmacists, the board shall include all of the following:

(a) Examination items to demonstrate the candidate’s proficiency in patient communication skills.

(b) Aspects of contemporary standards of practice for pharmacists in California, including, but not limited to, the provision of pharmacist care and the application of clinical knowledge to typical pharmacy practice situations that are not evaluated by the North American Pharmacy Licensure Examination.

What if i told you that switching to mpje is not restricted by this statute which one would know if they also studied for the exam

And if you looked at BPC 4200 the basis for licensure includes passing CPJE, not a law-only exam or a substitute for CPJE, so there would have to be legislation in the works to amend BPC

and if you know anything about law the process of switching from mpje to cpje is a fairly simple process

Waste your time lobbying for it then rather than study. LOL

That Reddit **** looks FAF but the BOP eliminated the external internship hours requirement so it wouldn't be "surprising" if they switched over to a law-only exam format

Thing is California doesn't need more pharmacists esp losers who can't pass CPJE.

The elephant in the room

Why do so many pharmacy students fail CPJE? Why did 50% of California pharmacy school students fail CPJE in the last reporting period, and 30% fail in the second to last period?

One reason is that the overall caliber of student is ****tier than 20 yrs ago

What is the motivation to change?

Appease the deans of these pharmacy schools
