Creighton vs. Buffalo

OOS at both. From the west coast.

Creighton
Pros:
Pass/fail/top 10% honors
School seemed more organized at interview
Opportunity to do last 2 years in phoenix and be closer to home
Low cost of living in Omaha

Cons:
No department in the specialty I am interested in
Less research opportunities

Buffalo:
Pros:
Home department in specialty I am interested in
New medical building being finished this year (hopefully)

Cons:
Living in Buffalo for 4 years
Basically has letter grading
Faculty doesn't seem as organized as Creighton's
Further from home

So I know nothing about Creighton or Omaha, but I don't think it would necessarily be any more exciting than Buffalo. Both are cold and snowy. The huge benefit for Buffalo is that you can get IS tuition from the 2nd year and save a lot of money.

I'd go with what's cheapest and closest to home.

Being closer to home and lower cost of living are two things that I don't think are to be understated. Both schools are ranked similarly and if you do well I don't think that being a graduate from Creighton will hold you back in w/e field you want to go to.
