I have a juvenile conviction from another country. Do i have to say yes when they ask if i was ever convicted?

This is a good question for a lawyer. In the states, juvenile convictions are off limits, but this may not be true of other countries, and if not then it's unclear how/if they'll show up when someone checks into your background.
