So I'm getting ready for my upcoming interview, and preparing answers for some commonly asked questions, but I was wondering what everyone thinks about the "What are some currentlegislative issues that optometry faces?" question. I have an idea of where I want to go with this question, but are there any topics that I should be sure to address or others to avoid altogether?

Also, what do you guys think I should include in the "Tell me about yourself" response for a closed file interview? Academics, extracurriculars, etc?

Scope of practice parity among all states (orals only in 47/50 states, pain killer rx in 43/50 states, glaucoma treatment in 49/50 states, injections ~16/50 states, laser surgery only in 2 states), any willing provider legislation, harkin amendment, Medicaid equality, vision and medical plan segregation, etc.

In my opinion, this question is raised by most retailers and it tries to gauge the candidate's comfort of working in a retail eye care environment.
