CV/Resume for SMP - Length?

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the concept of a 1 page resume (according to my school's career center).

I know some of the SMP's request that you attach a resume, so for people who have done this, how long typically has yours been?

I honestly feel that two pages should be good, but cutting it down to one page is just taking out so much IMO.

Mine was a little over 1 page for SMP applications. I wouldn't freak about it too much unless a limit is explicitly stated in the application.

If you haven't had an actual career, 1 page is plenty.

If you've had a career, advice from a college career center doesn't apply.

The role of a resume in SMP or med school admissions is negligible. What they want to know, they ask on their app. Good programs get thousands of apps; reading resumes isn't part of the process.
