May 31 .... eleven days and counting <gulp>!
Seriously, the hardest part about preparing is seeing my scores flucuate. On some practice tests I've scored extremely well, and others not so well. Example:
TopScore: OChem 26, Reading 27, Biology 23
Kaplan: OChem 20, Reading 22, Biology 19.
Granted, the difference between a 26 and a 20 may only be 2-3 questions, however I'm having trouble facing the fact that my true DAT scores are going to be determined by the random act of the computer drawing questions from a database. Easy questions and I get a 27, more difficult and I get a 22.
Point in case: My friend and his cousin both took the DAT on the same day last year. My friend scored a 20 on and claimed there was *difficult* material on the exam, while his cousin scored a 27 and apparently answered all of the 40 Bio questions in nine minutes. Seems pretty random. Oh well, on May 31 I'll find out!
