Anybody who has been accepted or waitlisted, when did you all interview? I was on 10/30, haven't heard anything, and I'm just curious where I stand.

i'm also curious. i interviewed a little bit before you and i'm anxiously awaiting news. this has been a really long "six weeks." hahah. i know the move to Sacramento has really slowed them down, but it seems like we should have heard something by now!

I interviewed the second week of October and I still haven't heard anything. From what I was told the last time I spoke with UCD (right before Christmas), they haven't started accepting people...

I thought for sure people had started getting accepted the week of Christmas. It was another post, but I can't remember. I'm just assuming they've been off the last couple weeks with the holidays and the move.

well, i'm pretty sure that holds/waitlists/rejections are all done by email. so at least none of us have gotten any of those since they should be quick to send out!

I talked to Terri yesterday, and she said they sent under 10 acceptances before break, because they'd only managed a short meeting.

She signaled toward next week, which seems to be the stock answer for all admissions offices. I mean, sort of seems unlikely that of the under 10 acceptances, 2 are on SDN, doesn't it? Still, maybe she just meant "a very small number."

thanks, PG and congrats!! i am super jealous. i guess that means us October folks weren't accepted? or they don't bother to review in chronological order?? ugg, Davis is totally messing with me. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to just send us some kind of update. anything would be nice!!

Interviewed mid-October. I really thought that they would give me a definitive answer, i.e. accept, reject or wait list. Maybe this is their way of kind of rejecting me...

Calcox, keep your head up. Even though the email said your app has been reviewed, Terri mentioned on my day that a hold could mean they still haven't gotten to you yet and that you are literally sitting in a stack waiting to be reviewed. I'm sorry though. More waiting does not sound appealing. I suppose an email to me must be imminent as well.

Hey, don't be discouraged because this happened to me last year and I got accepted like a month later (even after sending in my official withdrawal notification!).

Thanks for the positive words. The good thing is that I do have an acceptance in my back pocket, but because of family and friends, and the up and coming nature of Davis (I felt when I visited that they are on the brink of making a huge leap in stature) they appeal to me very much. All I can do is wait...

No worries, guys, we've only just barely started up again. We're in the new building (which is STUNNINGLY awesome, but is also still being finished 🙄 ), but we haven't started interviewing yet, and I'm virtually certain the adcom hasn't quite met yet. I imagine you'll start hearing soon. Best of luck to you all; I remember how hard it was to wait!

Don't sweat it. There are several different committees and from what I have heard, chronological order really is not what they go by. There are a lot of variables, like when your interviewers get their evals in to the committee and how often the committee meets. Last year people I interviewed were being considered in no apparent order from what I could see. So try to be patient even though I know it is agonizing. Good luck.

They built a new Vet school and research building but I wouldnt go so far as to say up and coming. At least not until they ditch their primary care focus and hire solid specialists.

Email. The email had some dates that were available. It said to call or email her and set up a time. I called her the next morning and set up a date (it was a date that was NOT in the email). The next day I received a confirmation email with the time and place and a list of email addresses of MS1's that might be willing to host someone. Okay well that's every detail I can think of.
