thanks for the info. it's been over 3 months for several of us though.....
i was emailed and put on "hold" today. I'm disappointed, but I also don't think this means much except that I will be waiting much longer for an actual decision. in a way, it seems that the hold just buys them more time before they have to make decisions.
👍i have to admit that this waiting game is not doing anything for my impression of the school
I'm in!!! My interviewer just emailed me!!

My impression of the students that are getting accepted right now is that they are no-brainers. The couple of MDApps that I have seen of those accepted demonstrate exceptional stats. What I hope is that after the ultra-qualified applicants are sorted through and accepted, funky, non-traditional apps like my own, that have a wart or two but also have something unique and interesting will get chosen on the second go around... At least that is my hope...
FYI, I interviewed 11/16. Good luck to all of you!![]()

Narc,Interviewed early Nov, I forget what date. Still no word.
CalCox did you get a financial aid package even though you got a hold email?
Also did you Cox for some crew team?
I interviewed 10/30 and got an e-mail this morning for decline. Hope this helps.
Wait they rejected you post interview? Are you kidding me?
what does that mean? why is it unbelievable that someone is rejected post-interview?
All you guys that interviewed... do you still have to drive between Davis and Sacramento on interview day? Or now that the campus has moved is it all in Sacto? THx!!
Turns out that email wasn't a teaser!...I got an ACCEPTANCE letter in the mail the very next day!!! (funny no one ever contacted me 😎 )
good luck everyone!
😀😀
Thanks for the sympathy guys. I had already been accepted at UCSF, so that definitely eased it. I think Davis is climbing though, I enjoyed my interview day there a lot. Nice people, new facilities, etc. Good luck all!
cgscribe, you're gonna rock it wherever you end up, be it ucsf, harvard, or wherever. cest la vie.
however, this news got my conspiracy theory-laden mind to thinking. and my half-baked conclusion? the uc's are talking, maybe even trading applicants like baseball cards. based on your track record, i find it hard to believe that you got a flat-out rejection. my davis interviews weren't so hot, and i still got a hold. meanwhile, your rejection comes right on the heels of an sf acceptance. methinks something is rotten in the state of denmark.
things that make you go hmmm...
Hahaha, I like the conspiracy theories. I think it's just because my student interviewer and I didn't click: I really felt like she was trying to trap me. She kept asking me questions repeatedly, and didn't seem satisfied with a lot of answers I gave. It's all good though. I think that the medical school admissions process should work like a baseball or football draft, with schools stepping up to the podium every couple hours/days to announce their latest pick.
