dea license with temp license

I am fully licensed in TN and MS with a separate DEA license for each of the 2 states; I am actively practicing in both states. I am applying for an Arkansas medical license, and I paid extra to get a temp license (after approved by staff) while waiting for the medical board to meet and approve my permanent license. I plan on starting working in Arkansas as soon as I receive my temp license. Can I apply for a DEA license for ARkansas with a temporary license, or do I need a permanent one? Also, can I prescribe controlled substances for a few weeks using one of my other DEA #'s while awaiting my DEA # for Arkansas?

Check with your hospital first and foremost. But my experience is temp license is sufficient to apply for a dea.

It's more of a "center" rather than a traditional hospital, and they don't know, but thanks for the tip
