I took leave of absence for one rotation during 3rd year. My dean's letter just says the dates and that's it. I haven't explained this anywhere since my advisor (who wrote the letter) told me that you don't need to explain it unless if they ask during interviews.
Is this fine?
Will the interviews get delayed?
Applying for rads

Your adviser is correct. Nobody is going to nitpick dates of your rotations. Besides, each school has different start dates. You're applyting to rads so I'm assuming your Steps are awesome. Let them do the magic for you, dont tell them anything in your closet... unless they ask, of course. So, chill.

The only time you need to explain anything is if your graduation date will be delayed. You could argue that we all take a LOA during 4th year...sometimes as much as 4 months (I had 3 solid months off and a smattering of other little breaks).
