I’m sorry what? What are your pings?!

Also do you also read April like I do?

2) she village reading me

Will go back and fix that when I’m back at my computer. I’m roughing it on the move site right now because I hate the app.
It was more a note for the future. I don’t think you need to fix it

Vibes. And I don't think you make a post like the one you made about samac as a wolf. It's like, the same way you said that thought process from her is less likely to come from a wolf, the thought process from you about that thought process seems even less likely to come from a wolf.

And samac's good enough for d1 for me so far.

I clicked like for thanks.

I’m iffy on the answer. I kind of expected people to call my samac read wolfy. I will ponder.

I was not, direct me, kind person. 🫡
These posts are a little old now but should still be somewhat helpful

Or something like that. I decided to call genny yellow since I felt like my own sus was dumb.

Clem should probably be light green instead. Whatever.

fruitsalad's paranoia of me is understandable, as is rae's. I get that a lot, especially the first one or two times I play with folks.

rae is also off to an immediate solving start that I would call very rare for a first-time player thrust directly into a mafia role. I'll be careful with that since who knows, but that's my first impression.

That one post moved the needle. It’s a town samac question.

She didn’t ask:

“Why is April okay to you?” or “What makes April seem okay?” or “Which April posts made you feel that way?” or anything like that. She also didn’t ask about my genny squints.

Those would be the generic questions that do not move the needle. They wouldn’t necessarily be suspicious questions; they’d just be NAI (not alignment-indicative for the newcomers). Mafia post those questions in every game.

Instead she asked if I have played with you before. That’s a different kind of question that I believe is less likely to occur to a mafia member trying to create generic engagement. She noticed one read right away, my read on you, and experienced an internal click of the light switch — can Jay have a real perspective on April? She hasn’t played much in recent memory. How would he know how she posts? So she asked. It’s not “impossible” for mafia to ask that question, but it’s less likely to be in their headspace IMO. It’s also very on-brand for town samac.

I recognize this is a bizarrely thorough read for such a simple samac post. But it spoke to me. Thus, I speak it to you.

Ohm.

Meh, that questioning doesn't convince me of village or wolf. Anyone can ask someone if they have played with a particular person before, that isn't inherently a villager line of questioning.

very rae-r

What was your sus? I'm curious
Anyway, my genny squints were:

Her first post just seemed too snarky. I know genny is snarky. This squint is dumb, but my gut squinted. This is anatomically possible.

Her discouraging thread consensus strikes me as openly wolf-sided. So I squinted again.

That's fine. I don't figure everyone will agree with that particular take.

Perhaps the most pro-town aspect of this setup is that the mafia team have absolutely no guaranteed means of removing threats from the game.

So let's be threats.

If there are no night kills, which it appears there may not be given the Night error thing, to me, this is still a pro-wolf setup as they know who each other are and are able to conspire together and really have the potential to lead the thread here getting villagers yeeted, especially since there is a majority yeet rule in place.

I disagree to an extent. The possibility for that behavior already exists in a normal game. In this case they also have to deal with not being able to kill people who are clear.

Random brain musing: With the no nights and thus no night kills--- could this be a mafia-free game and we are all just villagers attacking each other until there is only one remaining?

Midwife promised me this game wouldn't be bastard!!!!

Is there really any way to "clear" a player this game since there are no night actions--- are there mechanisms for clearing players? Or is this all just discussion and gut reactions?

Who knows!

But like if there's someone pushing multiple wolves or otherwise as clear as one can generally be without mechanics, wolves can't just kill them to shut them up

Villagery for now:
Samac- I am kind of trusting other reads here, for now.
JJJ-- only because it would take some boldness as wolf to lead this much in the thread, not saying it isn't possible, just seems less likely on day 1.

Middle ground (honestly just no clear village/wolf vibes from these peeps):
Clem
Zenge
Fruitsalad
Rae

Getting sus:
WZ-- posting but they don't feel as generally villagery as her typical village vibe, but has been some time since I have played.
genny- but then I always find her sus
april- but I have never played with her, so not sure how much I can trust my read right now.

Omg but we can be way more open about village reads since we don't have to worry about them dying at night!

...this should be obvious I guess but I'm slow

I mean, the last time I played, people were fairly vocal about their village reads even with people dying at night. I don't think that really changes all that much this game.
